Background

The aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) is an evolutionarily conserved, ligand-activated transcription factor that resides primarily in the cytoplasm as part of an HSP90-containing multiprotein complex; upon binding planar aromatic ligands—ranging from environmental pollutants such as dioxins and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons to endogenous or dietary molecules like tryptophan photoproducts and flavonoids—it translocates to the nucleus, heterodimerizes with its partner ARNT (HIF-1β), and binds xenobiotic response elements (XRE/DRE) to drive transcription of genes involved in xenobiotic metabolism (e.g., CYP1A1), but it also exerts broad non-genomic and non-canonical actions by crosstalking with NF-κB, Wnt, MAPK, and hypoxia signaling pathways, thereby modulating immune cell differentiation, inflammatory cytokine production, antioxidant responses, cell cycle checkpoints, and even osteoclastogenesis, placing AHR at the hub of environmental sensing, metabolic homeostasis, immune tolerance, and pathologies including autoimmunity, cancer, osteoporosis, and premature aging.

An immature take on Peter Parker only suitable for the most immature reader
Format: Kindle
Someday, Marvel Comics won't be controlled by white male Boomers/GenXers who make Peter Pan look well adjusted and who incessantly try to recapture a childhood that never actually existed while believing women have cooties and adult relationships are icky. But until then, we get Amazing Spider-Man by Joe Kelly, whose writing is the living embodiment of the Steve Buscemi "How do you do, my fellow kids" meme. This run is boring, trite and cliched. You could probably get a more insightful and original story by asking ChatGPT to write one for you. The only thing going for the run - so far - is that Kelly at least isn't outright aggressively antagonizing the reader unlike the previous writer. It's just...bland and mediocre.

Fantasy
Format: Kindle
It was basically two stories in one book. One was about Logan's encounter with Flower Cartel. He was sent on a mission to find out who was or were stealing Kratoan flowers. He didn't catch whodunit. But I am sure that he will find out some more about Flower Cartel later on ... Two was about vampires up to no good when it concerned mutants. When Omega Red came in on the island looking badly injured, it was reported to Logan. He thought that Omega Red was up to something and decided to investigate. He found vampires and their "master" but he still didn't know what they were up to. However, he did have some idea what Omega Red did. It ended with him not knowing of a bargain Omega Red made with the master. I am sure that Logan will find out what they are planning for him and his friends later on ...

Wolverines and Holy Knights
Format: Kindle
Fun and great artwork. It has been awhile though so the X-Men timeline confuses me. Anyways I'm a Wolverine fanboy so I liked it.

He's Back!!
Format: Kindle
This gets five stars because it was so good to have Logan back. Percy and Kubert are just crushing it on this book. Omega Red has never been more sinister. Paris! Vampires! Hell yeah!
