Solid beta-alanine dose with a no-BS, full-disclosed stim punch

Axe & Sledge DBAP is a straight-up high-stim pre-workout that gets right to the point. It's not loaded with pumps or every ingredient under the sun. Instead, it's focused on quick energy, solid training support, and that aggressive vibe you feel in the gym. The setup is straightforward: full-dose beta-alanine to fight fatigue, betaine for power and stamina, tyrosine for focus when things get tough, and a smart stim blend that hits hard and lasts.

Let's break down the performance side. You get 3,200mg beta-alanine—that's the real daily dose that builds up carnosine in your muscles over time. Carnosine helps buffer the acid that causes that burning feeling during intense reps. Right away, you might feel the tingles. After 2-4 weeks of steady use, you'll push through high-rep sets and tough intervals better. Then there's 2,500mg betaine anhydrous, the dose often seen in studies for boosting power, work capacity, and keeping cells hydrated. It acts as an osmolyte (helps with cell water balance) and methyl donor, giving you a stronger, more consistent feel during hard workouts.

The 1,500mg L-tyrosine is a hefty dose for focus in a stim-heavy mix. Tyrosine is the building block for brain chemicals like dopamine and norepinephrine, which kick in big time with high caffeine. Caffeine ramps up alertness and those chemicals, and tyrosine supplies the fuel. Studies on tyrosine for workouts are mixed, but at this level, it delivers what you want: sharper drive, better concentration, and less mental dri

Key Highlights

  • 3,200mg Beta-Alanine — that's the real daily dose that actually works, not just something thrown in for looks. It builds muscle carnosine over time, which fights the acid buildup that makes high-rep sets and tough intervals burn like crazy.
  • 2,500mg Betaine Anhydrous — a full dose like you see in the research. It acts as an osmolyte (helps cells hold water) and methyl donor, boosting your power, stamina, and that tough, reliable feel in demanding workouts.
  • 1,500mg L-Tyrosine — a big dose to back up the stims. It supports those brain chemicals for focus under pressure, pairing great with high caffeine for real mental drive instead of just shaky energy.
  • 400mg Caffeine Anhydrous — straight into high-stim zone. This amount gives trained folks the energy, alertness, and aggression boost without needing mystery ingredients to prop it up.
  • 125mg TeaCrine® — thrown in to stretch and smooth out the energy so it's not just a quick caffeine spike. It stacks well with caffeine for a sustained feel that keeps going through your session.
  • 100mg Dynamine® — a quick-hitting stim that works with caffeine and TeaCrine®. It builds a layered kick: fast start-up energy with backup for later in the workout.
  • 50mg Theobromine — a gentle add-on to the energy mix. It feels smoother and lasts longer than caffeine alone, rounding things out without making it too rough.
  • 30mg Lean GBB® — here for that hot, sweaty rush that high-stim fans love. It amps up DBAP's aggressive vibe and sets it apart from milder options.

Who Is This For?

  • Seasoned bodybuilders grinding high-volume hypertrophy who need mental fire as much as muscle push. The 3.2g beta-alanine helps with repeat reps as fatigue builds, while 400mg caffeine, tyrosine, TeaCrine®, and Dynamine® lock in that zone for long hauls.
  • High-stim vets who've moved past basic 200-250mg caffeine stuff. DBAP's layered stims give a tougher hit than your average store pre.
  • Morning warriors needing to snap from sleepy to beast mode quick. Caffeine and Dynamine® bring fast energy, TeaCrine® and theobromine keep it rolling.
  • Lifters in volume phases with tight rests and lactate-heavy work. Full 3.2g beta-alanine shines here as carnosine stacks up with regular use.
  • Folks who love that hot, sweaty training rush. Lean GBB and yohimbine HCl deliver the warm, urgent vibe for hard lifts or conditioning.
  • People who want clear labels and exact doses. DBAP shows everything, crucial in high-stims where blends hide the real load.

How to Use

Try half a scoop first if you're new to this or not a high-stim regular. Full scoop packs 400mg caffeine plus backups, so check your tolerance. Best 20-30 minutes pre-workout for caffeine and Dynamine® to kick in by warm-ups. Mix with 10-16 oz cold water in a shaker; extra water helps if you want milder flavor. Empty stomach or light meal speeds it up and amps the feel, heavy food slows it. Skip stacking with other caffeine, yohimbine, or thermogenics unless you're careful. It pairs fine with creatine, intra carbs, or electrolytes. For beta-alanine gains, use consistently, but rotate if stim tolerance builds—many save it for big days. Keep it sealed cool and dry for best powder and taste.

What to Expect

Minutes 0-10: stims start rolling in, especially fasted, and some get beta-alanine tingles in face, hands, or ears. Minutes 10-20: caffeine hits clearer, mind sharpens, and Lean GBB with yohimbine might bring heat or sweat. Minutes 20-40: peak time for most, where the full stack of caffeine, Dynamine®, TeaCrine®, tyrosine, and yohimbine delivers max urgency. Minutes 40-90: still going strong, thanks to TeaCrine® and theobromine keeping it from dropping off sharp. Days 1-7: stim punch is instant, but beta-alanine is loading, so energy and focus lead. Weeks 2-4: carnosine builds with steady 3.2g, making fatigue sets easier. Long-term, it goes from 'hits hard' to 'hits hard and keeps me pushing.'

Frequently Asked Questions

How much caffeine is in Axe & Sledge DBAP per serving?

DBAP provides 400mg caffeine anhydrous per full scoop. That already qualifies as a high-stim dose before you factor in TeaCrine®, Dynamine®, theobromine, Lean GBB, and 3mg yohimbine HCl, which all increase the overall intensity of the experience.

Is DBAP a good pre-workout for beginners?

No, this is not an ideal beginner formula. The combination of 400mg caffeine with additional stimulant compounds and yohimbine makes DBAP much more aggressive than a standard entry-level pre-workout.

Why does DBAP include both TeaCrine® and Dynamine® with caffeine?

The formula uses a layered stimulant approach instead of relying on caffeine alone. Caffeine provides the main ergogenic driver, Dynamine® is often used for a faster, sharper onset feel, and TeaCrine® helps extend and smooth the overall energy curve.

What does the 3,200mg beta-alanine dose actually do?

3.2g is the standard clinical daily dose used to increase muscle carnosine over time. Higher carnosine helps buffer the acid buildup that contributes to muscular burn and fatigue during repeated hard efforts, so the biggest benefit appears with consistent use over weeks—not just from one serving.

Will DBAP make me tingle or feel hot?

Very possibly, yes. The beta-alanine can produce the classic tingling sensation called paresthesia, while Lean GBB and yohimbine can add a warming, sweat-promoting feel that many high-stim users specifically seek out.

Does DBAP have a proprietary blend?

No. DBAP uses a fully disclosed label, which is a major advantage in the high-stim category because you can see the exact amounts of every active ingredient rather than guessing at hidden stimulant doses.

When should I take DBAP before my workout?

Most users do best taking it 20-30 minutes pre-workout. That timing gives caffeine and the faster-acting stimulant components enough time to build before your first major working sets.

Can I stack DBAP with coffee or an energy drink?

That is generally not a smart idea. DBAP already delivers 400mg caffeine plus additional stimulant compounds, so adding more caffeine or thermogenic products can push the experience from productive to excessive very quickly.

Is DBAP a pump pre-workout?

No, not in the nitric oxide-heavy sense. This formula is built around energy, focus, and intensity, with beta-alanine and betaine providing performance support rather than relying on high-dose citrulline, nitrates, or glycerol for pump.

Can I use DBAP every day?

You can use it regularly if your tolerance and schedule support that, but many experienced users reserve formulas like this for key training sessions. Beta-alanine benefits from consistency, but heavy daily stimulant exposure can increase tolerance and make sleep management harder.

A bewitching retelling of Arthurian legend!
Format: Kindle
In a land where the Fae have nearly become only a legend and those who still posses even a morsel of the blood are few and far between, Morgan finds herself cast aside by most of society due to her rumored half-Fae lineage, including her brother, King Arthur. With the kingdom at the brink of war, Arthur entrusts her with a quest to retrieve a Fae weapon of legendary power: the sword of Perun, Excalibur. Accompanied by men she loathes, Captain Kairos Draven and Ragnar Whitehorn, she embarks on her long and unbeknownst perilous journey, only to find that things she once believed to be myth are in fact very real. With devastating twists, omitted truths, witty banter and fierce action, Queen of Roses leaves you begging to know more about the secrets of Aercanum! Wow, wow, wow! Going into this story, I did not realize that it was going to be a retelling of Arthurian legend, especially not one with a fantastical twist! The unique spin almost gave me The Witcher vibes and I think adding Fae into the mix was quite interesting. I knew the basics of the legend but after reading this book, it has piqued my interest and makes me want to learn more about it. My attention was snatched as soon as I finished the prologue and I knew that I was going to devour this story. I truly enjoyed the gender swaps and even how Arthur was portrayed as villainous. Morgan’s past and even her parts of her present is absolutely heartbreaking, and I felt for her at times. I can only recall one other book that made me hate characters the way I despised Florian and Arthur, leaving me with my blood boiling and feeling disgusted. Even after finishing the book, Draven is still a mystery to me and I cannot figure out how to feel about him. I guess they just means that the author did an excellent job at conveying each character’s persona! The rich world building and imagery made it easy for me to visualize the places that the group visited along their journey. I am truly engulfed in this story and I cannot wait to see wait fate awaits Morgan and how the Fae will be even more incorporated in the next book!. Enchanting
Format: Kindle
"Queen of Roses" by Briar Boleyn is a delightful and refreshing reimagining of the classic tale of King Arthur, with a captivating twist that places the spotlight on Morgan, a character who has often been overshadowed in traditional retellings. Boleyn's creative decision to shift the narrative perspective to Morgan breathes new life into the story, offering readers an intriguing and compelling look at the Arthurian world from an entirely different angle. One of the most commendable aspects of this book is its incorporation of Fae elements, which adds an enchanting layer of magic and mystery to the already familiar Arthurian setting. Boleyn skillfully weaves the world of the Fae into the narrative, creating a captivating backdrop against which the events of the story unfold. This addition not only adds depth to the world-building but also provides ample opportunities for twists and turns that keep readers thoroughly engrossed. However, while the book boasts numerous strengths, it does have one noticeable flaw: the characterization of Morgan. While it is reasonable to create a flawed and complex protagonist, it appears that at times, Morgan's character becomes overly difficult and hard to relate to. Her persistently negative perception of one of the main male characters, who is a potential love interest, despite his efforts to support and assist her, may come across as somewhat irrational and could test the patience of some readers. Striking a balance between a strong, independent character and one who can recognize genuine support and affection could have enhanced the overall reader experience. Nonetheless, the allure of "Queen of Roses" lies in its innovative approach to the Arthurian legend and its skillful blending of fantasy elements into a familiar narrative. Boleyn's evocative prose draws readers into a world where magic, destiny, and fate entwine, leaving us eager to uncover the mysteries that unfold within the pages. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

An action-packed dark romantasy
Format: Kindle
I loved this book! Queen of Roses is an Arthurian-inspired dark romantasy that is the first book in the Blood of Fae series. The story follows Morgan, the princess of Camelot who is rumored to be part fae. Fueled by prejudiced hatred and a mistrust of fae blood, Morgan’s abusive father strips her of her birthright and hands it to her half-brother, Arthur. Instead of becoming queen, Morgan is commanded to join the temple of the goddesses when she comes of age. However, Arthur turns into a psychopathic, power-hungry, fae-hating king as he ages. He develops malevolent plans and commands Morgan to find an ancient weapon with legendary power. Although Morgan is wary of Arthur’s intentions, she embraces the opportunity to go on a journey and potentially change her fate. The story picks up from there and we follow Morgan on her quest to find the ancient relic. It’s full of high stakes adventure, mystery, tension, banter, forced proximity, hidden magic, self discovery, and betrayal. This first installment of the series intricately develops the world building and character development. There’s little romance in this book, but it is evident that it is a slow burn that will continue to develop throughout the remainder of the series. Overall, I loved the world building, the epic fantasy, Morgan’s journey of self discovery, and all of the twists and turns that set the stage for the future installments. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Arthurian Fae Quest…say less.
Format: Kindle
A fae centered Arthurian tale unlike any I’ve read so far. The author did a great job at descriptive world building, with scenes easily playing out in my minds eye. There was plenty of action, suspense, and even a touch of horror. An enemies to lovers, slow burn romance, a quest, with plot twist and turns aplenty. There was a love triangle, which I’m not usually a fan of but, it played out well in this story line. The FMC, Morgan Pendragon, was so blatantly naïve, yet I typically expect as much in a ‘book one’ of a series, especially one that features a fairly sheltered princess. I was happy to read that in spite of this, she still showed a strong sense of morals, fire, and spine. Now our MMC? Kairos Draven, aka Void’s Edge. Oh, how I’m a sucker for a smoking’ hot grumpy warrior alpha with a witty mouth, and a strong sense of “touch her and die” attitude, so you know who held all my cards. That ending? Just made me swoon all the harder. Now add a battlecat that rivals the size of a horse…and well Ms. Briar Boleyn you have well and truly stolen my heart. I’m excited to see where the story goes from here, and follow along to see more of the characters growth. I went into this story fairly blind, and I think I enjoyed it all the more because of it. Once the story got going, it had me in an absolute chokehold and it was difficult to put down.

Not a bad start
Format: Kindle
3 stars Thank you Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for the ARC! A camelot/king Arthur retelling with fae. I was hooked by the idea of this book immediately and was eager to jump into this world. • slow burn • enemies to lovers • who did this to you Morgan Pendragon watched her mother die by her father's hand when she was just eight years old, hiding under the bed. Morgan is believed to have the tainted blood of the fae in her veins and is cast aside so that her fathers illegitimate son, Arthur, can become the king. She's seen his cruel treatment of the fae firsthand, so when he sends her on a journey to find a fae weapon she seizes the opportunity to do more with her life. Along the way, she finds more than she could have imagined. I don't know a whole lot about King Arthur and Camelot but I had a lot of fun with this story! The plot has some similar tropes to popular romantasy books (From blood and ash) but there's enough originality here that it doesn't feel like I'm reading a copy. I liked how the fae were different in appearance than what is typical in most fantasy books I've read. In this book they have blue hair, violet skin and a wide range of other characteristics. I thought that the world building was easy to follow and I could easily immerse myself into this world. After reading the blurb I kept wondering when she was going to go on the journey to find Excalibur and it doesn't happen until around the 45% mark. The story is a bit slow at times but starts to pick up once they begin their journey to find Excalibur. The John Wick style Inn was a fun concept that I enjoyed reading about. There are a lot of similarities to this and FBAA and I would have liked to have it be a little more different, but I'm hoping book two will have the story turn into something of its own. Overall I enjoyed reading this story and I'm looking forward to reading book two especially after that ending.
