I had this idea swirling about up in my head: two children holding hands and staring at a frightening bog monster emerging from the mist. We cannot know what will happen to them, because the scene is only a split-second long, trapped forever in the indefinite lifespan of art. We can know only that they looked straight ahead at some point into the face of what was coming for them, took care of each other, and were brave.
