There is a particular kind of storage piece that earns its place in the room not through abundance of detail but through the confidence of restraint — where a single considered detail carries the entire design intention and the rest of the piece has the discipline to let it. The Saeko Cabinet was designed around that discipline. Warm wood with a deep, horizontal grain runs continuously across two doors, the top, and the sides — the rhythm of the grain giving the cabinet a calm, considered surface that rewards the eye without demanding it. And at the centre of the right door, a single circular cutout divided by a cross — part handle, part window, part sculptural detail — gives the piece its one moment of considered drama and its entire identity.

The circular cross handle is the Saeko's signature — a form that carries the quiet reference of the porthole, the mandala, the architectural oculus — translated into the most understated piece of hardware a cabinet could have.
