Being offered for sale is the vintage/nearly antique WALL HUNG PHONE BOX Model AB700 (with 5-magnet generator & slightly wider than typical case - this model was NOT used in Australia (like many/most other models) but was exported to New Zealand and South America (as per information found at www.telephonecollecting.org/Bobs%20phones/Pages/British%20Ericsson/BritEricsson.htm see Fig. 18)) by ERICSSON, made in Sweden circa 1925-31 (as per internet research - provided we got the model number correct - please weigh in if you think we are mistaken...any info you'd be willing to share would be greatly appreciated), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale as-found, uncleaned & UNTESTED. May or may not need replacement parts, repair and/or tweaking to bring to working order. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full cosmetic potential.

CONDITION NOTES:

SEE BLUE ARROWS & TEXT in many of the pictures, which point to damage and/or other noteworthy details. UNTESTED. May or may not work. May or may not need replacement parts and/or repair and/or tweaking to bring to full working order. Otherwise, it looks to be in Good/G+ vintage condition with moderate -to- severe overall cosmetic wear. Multiple dings, dents, scuffs, scratches, stains, etc. throughout. Cloth wire cover is ripped at multiple spots along entire length and section of "exposed wires" at the handset end (see 4th pic). Chunk of wood missing from one side (see 4th & 9th pics). Housing/box remains structurally rigid & strong. Handset is in pretty good shape. See pics.

Measures approximately 14" wide, overall (including crank and handset) and 9-1/2" wide at wood housing/box x 15-5/8" tall x 9-3/4" deep , overall (including front writing slope). Weighs 16 lbs. 14.5 oz..
