Now over twenty years together as a working duo, Hammock continue their remarkable string of sonic explorations with The Second Coming Was A Moonrise. The title captures a time of exploration, when in his late teens, Byrd and a friend, under the influence of psychedelics, mistook the moonrise for the second coming of Christ. Byrd and Thompson, both primarily guitarists, have found their musical bonds becoming ever stronger as their shared work grows even more dramatic and richer over the years, pursuing a feeling of sweeping, shimmering sonic awe that can never simply be summed up as anything other than itself. The Second Coming Was A Moonrise continues those sensations of exploration, feeling at once like one of their most intimate releases while exploring the rich sense of majesty that they can create in turn. Much of The Second Coming is instrumental or only adds wordless vocal sighs and textures, though always with titles chosen with intent. Byrd revisited more of his drug-fueled escapes with "Chemicals Make You Small," which features two notable guests: Wayne Coyne and Steven Drozd of The Flaming Lips, adding vocals and keyboards. Other returning guest performers include regular collaborator Matt Kidd of Slow Meadow adding strings and guitar, Deserta's Matthew Doty on synths and guitar, Lumenette's Christine Byrd adding angelic vocals, Chad Howat playing keyboards and bass and Jake Finch adding some remarkable drumming.

Good book, quite through
This was quite an in depth analysis on the subject which the author writes from his own experiences, and it seems quite obvious that he is not making any of it up. His explanations can be tedious at times, but this is in an effort to present the information as scientifically as possible, trying to answer any and all doubts and questions that would arise to the skeptical minded person. If you are interested in astral projection, I have never read a more revealing book on the subject.

Astral Projection From A Century Ago
Format: Kindle
This book is roughly a century old.
With that comes a slightly different language but not one too difficult to follow.
Some of the things that stuck out for me were:
* The astral cable or “silver cord.”
* The subjects of possession and the demonic.
* The detailed suggestions for astral projection.
This book could have used some editing ( there is the occasional “I” out of place) in spots but it remains very readable and helpful for understanding what astral projection is and different facets of it.

Marvelous!
This a Must Read for all OBE students and explorers. The kind of book that you can't let go of once you begin reading. The detail explanation and the descriptions are astonishing. I am amazed! It gave me a renewed interest in this discipline and I understood things that I'd given up on. What a fresh breath from a century ago... Thank you, Mr. Muldoon. I am at a loss for words to express my gratitude.

THE VERY BEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN ABOUT THE PROJECTION OF THE ASTRAL BODY!
Format: Paperback
In my opinion, Sylvan Muldoon's book continues after many decades to be the most inspiring and well written and meaningful book ever written on the out of body experience! I always suggest that anybody interested in the subject should always read this classic as being a truly honest and sincere, knowledgable guide written by the person many consider, The Father of Astral Projection.

Read Projection of the Astral Body, and Get More Restful Sleep!
Format: Paperback
Sylvan Muldoon's Projection of the Astral Body can best be described as a great eye-opener. It is highly useful for the general public-i.e. for anyone who sleeps. But it is especially helpful to those curious about what happens during sleep, and those who want to sleep more adequately. It has my highest recommendation.
