Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus

Real Backup Power for Real Life, at Home or Off the Grid

When the lights go out, you do not need a gadget. You need power that shows up, keeps critical appliances running, protects sensitive electronics, and helps life stay normal until the grid comes back.

The Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus is built for exactly that.

With a substantial 3,584Wh LiFePO₄ battery, 3,600 watts of continuous output, and 7,200 watts of surge power, this portable solar generator is ready to handle the demands that matter most. Refrigerators. Freezers. Water pumps. Tools. Home office equipment. Medical devices. Lights. Communications. The things you do not want to lose when conditions turn rough.

Unlike smaller battery units that are fine for charging phones and little else, the HomePower 3600 Plus is designed to do serious work. It gives you 120V and 240V output, supports multiple devices at once, and can be expanded over time to meet bigger energy demands. Whether you are preparing for extended outages, building a dependable backup setup, or taking reliable power where the grid cannot go, this system brings the kind of confidence that changes everything.

It is compact enough to move, powerful enough to matter, and durable enough to earn a permanent place in your backup plan.

Why the Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus Stands Out

A lot of portable power stations promise peace of mind. Very few deliver it when the pressure is on.

The Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus is different because it was designed around the real-world problems people face during outages and remote power use. It is not just about having electricity. It is about keeping the essentials working, keeping downtime short, and avoiding the scramble that comes when your backup solution is underpowered or unreliable.

With 3,600W of continuous AC output, this unit can support far more than lights and small electronics. It is capable of powering major essentials and handling startup surges that trip up lesser systems. That means fewer compromises, fewer hard choices, and a much better chance of keeping the important parts of your day intact.

It is also built for the long haul. The advanced LiFePO₄ battery chemistry is rated for 6,000 cycles to 70%+ capacity, giving you a power solution designed for 10+ years of dependable use. This is not disposable backup power. It is long-term energy security.

And because needs change, the HomePower 3600 Plus is made to grow with you. Its expandable design up to 21kWh lets you start with substantial backup power now and add more storage later. That makes it a smart option for anyone who wants strong performance today without boxing themselves into a fixed setup tomorrow.

Serious Output for the Appliances and Equipment That Matter Most

Backup power only matters if it can actually run the things you need.

The Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus delivers the muscle to support a wide range of critical home, worksite, and off-grid loads. With 7,200W surge capacity, it can handle tough startup demands from appliances and equipment that smaller units often cannot manage reliably.

That means you are not limited to just charging devices and powering lamps. This system is designed for meaningful backup use, including support for appliances like:

  • Refrigerators and freezers
  • Water pumps
  • Dryers
  • Electronics and communication equipment
  • Home office gear
  • Tools and jobsite essentials
  • Key home circuits through a manual transfer switch setup

When conditions are uncertain, having this level of output changes the experience. Instead of reacting to every inconvenience, you stay operational. Food stays cold. Devices stay charged. Critical systems stay available. Work does not grind to a halt just because the utility power does.

Dual Voltage Flexibility Gives You More Ways to Use It

One of the biggest advantages of the HomePower 3600 Plus is its dual voltage capability, with support for both 120V and 240V output.

That opens the door to more demanding applications and gives you more flexibility than many power stations in its class. You can run everyday electronics and essential appliances while also having the ability to support heavier-duty loads when needed. For home backup, that means a more practical and versatile system. For remote jobsites or off-grid setups, it means fewer limitations and better performance across a wider range of equipment.

This is the kind of feature that matters more the longer you own the unit, because it gives you room to adapt without replacing your entire power solution.

Fast Backup for Sensitive Electronics

Power loss is not always just inconvenient. Sometimes it can damage equipment, interrupt work, corrupt data, or shut down devices that need steady power.

The Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus includes UPS functionality with backup under 20ms and 0ms online, helping protect sensitive electronics during interruptions. That makes it a valuable choice for home offices, network equipment, communication systems, and other devices that benefit from stable, uninterrupted power.

In practical terms, that means less risk, less disruption, and less stress when power conditions change unexpectedly.

Built for Long-Term Reliability, Not Short-Term Hype

A backup power system should not feel worn out after a couple of seasons. It should still be ready when you need it most.

That is why Jackery built the HomePower 3600 Plus with LiFePO₄ battery cells rated for 6,000 cycles, giving you outstanding longevity compared to many conventional battery systems. This chemistry is widely trusted for stability, durability, and dependable performance over time.

The unit also features an automotive-grade CTB design, giving it a structure that balances strength, portability, and compact storage. You get substantial power in a form that is still practical to move and position where you need it.

This is especially important for people who want serious backup capability without installing a permanently fixed system right away. The HomePower 3600 Plus gives you a powerful middle ground: strong output, substantial storage, and real portability.

Advanced Battery Safety You Can Trust

Power is only useful if it is safe.

The HomePower 3600 Plus is built with high-temperature-resistant ceramic membrane battery cells, tested up to 302°F, helping reduce the risk of thermal runaway and improving confidence during demanding use. For anyone relying on stored energy inside the home, in a garage, at a cabin, or in remote working conditions, that kind of engineering matters.

It is the sort of feature you may never have to think about day to day, which is exactly the point. Good backup power should feel dependable, not nerve-racking.

Recharge with Solar and Stay Ready Longer

Outages do not always end quickly. Remote power needs do not always come with a wall outlet nearby. That is where solar charging becomes more than a convenience.

When paired with Jackery SolarSaga 500X panels, the HomePower 3600 Plus becomes a renewable power solution that can keep working long after fuel-based systems would need refueling. Each panel is designed for strong solar performance, with a 500W peak output, bifacial design, and IP68 waterproof rating, making it a practical choice for emergency use and off-grid deployment alike.

The foldable design also makes storage and transport far easier than rigid panel setups. So when conditions change, you can deploy a meaningful solar charging system without turning it into a major project.

For people who want more energy independence and fewer moving parts in their backup plan, that is a major advantage.

Expandable Power for Bigger Plans and Longer Outages

One of the smartest things about the Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus is that it does not force you to choose between what you need now and what you might need later.

Out of the box, you get a strong 3,584Wh battery platform with the output needed to run essential appliances and equipment. But when your power strategy grows, the system can grow with it. With expansion capacity up to 21kWh, you can build toward longer runtimes and broader coverage over time.

That makes this unit especially attractive for anyone who wants to start with a serious portable power station now and create a more robust backup solution later. It protects your investment, gives you flexibility, and makes future upgrades much easier.

Easier Home Backup Without the Hassles of Traditional Generators

Traditional fuel generators absolutely have their place, but they also come with trade-offs: fuel storage, maintenance, noise, fumes, cold-start issues, and the usual headache of getting everything ready when conditions are already miserable.

The Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus offers a different approach.

With support for manual transfer switch integration, it can help supply power to essential home circuits without the noise, engine maintenance, or fuel juggling of a conventional generator-only setup. It stores more cleanly, operates more simply, and is easier to deploy when every minute counts.

For many people, that translates into something valuable that spec sheets never quite capture: less friction. Less hassle. Less second-guessing. More control.

What You Can Expect From the Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus

You can expect a portable power station that feels genuinely capable from day one.

You can expect enough output to support essential appliances and important devices during outages. You can expect dependable battery performance backed by long cycle life. You can expect the flexibility of 120V and 240V AC output, modern USB charging options, and solar compatibility that helps extend your runtime without relying solely on the wall.

You can expect a system that is easy to store, practical to move, and ready to take on backup duty at home, off-grid jobs, remote property use, mobile work, or emergency response situations.

Most of all, you can expect a product that helps replace uncertainty with a plan.

Native American history at its best!
Format: Hardcover
Kent Blansett's engrossing story about the life & times of the famed Mohawk activist Richard Oakes is Native American history at its best. I appreciated the well-written context provided about the birth, growth and impact of the Red Power Movement and the pivotal role that social justice activism played in the rise of modern Indian nations in the United States today. This scholarly work helps us understand modern Native America and is a "must-read" for every Native American Studies student and scholar, as well as readers interested in important American social justice movements.

Excellent book on ML
Format: Paperback
This is a great book on machine learning. Topics covered are extensive - from beginner level to advanced topics including math behind different algorithms. However, not "all" algorithms are covered. Please go through the table of contents. The first part - 11 chapters - covers machine learning concepts and second part covers advanced topics with Pytorch. There are lots of excellent code and they work!! The quality of the book I received is excellent. I have gone through all 742 pages, and it has held up very well!! I used Jupyter notebook to run all examples. I created a new notebook and copied and pasted the code and ran them. This approach worked very well for me. At the same time, I could experiment with my take on the code snippets and definitely added to my knowledge. Only issue I have is on the second part of the book discussing PyTorch: (1) Some packages are a bit older version: e.g., transformer 4.9.1 whereas current version is 4.48+. It took some tweaking/recoding to get the examples working. (2) There is not much discussion on why certain architecture was chosen - e.g., number of layers, is there a rule of thumb on how to improve performance by changing these parameters? Even with CUDA the code run for a long time. Therefore, experimenting with different values of parameters become too time consuming. (3) On the same note, if I can achieve test accuracy of 90%+ using logistic regression and almost the same (perhaps one or two percent better with PyTorch with IMDB movie review dataset and that two much faster why should I use PyTorch for this dataset? Obviously, PyTorch is for certain types of problems. Discussions can be included by not adding to the exhaustive (and apt) contents. Personally I was disappointed by lack of any example on time series. Must have for ML practitioner as a reference and guide.

Excellent Textbook for Hands-On Learning of ML
Format: Kindle
This textbook is for the serious life-long learners of machine learning. There are at least two ways to ‘consume’ this book. For the expert in ML, this is a textbook to study as a clear comprehensive ML overview and then to dive into sections of interest or ignorance. The concepts are grounded in code examples and are well cited (with links) to sources. Further, this textbook is appropriate if you are TensorFlow-centric and want to broaden into cutting-edge ML models/tools coded in PyTorch. For a new learner to ML, this is a textbook to DO (not just READ) with hands-on and brain-engaged. If you realize that ML is a key life-long skill for your career, consider this textbook as part of a daily learning habit (10-30 min). From personal experience, my advice to the new learner is as follows… First, clone the GitHub repository, setup your Python environment, and study the textbook, while working through the notebooks. Go on tangents and break the code. Do this methodically as part of your daily learning habit, but do not hesitate to jump ahead several chapters to prepare for tomorrow’s meeting. There is enough excellent material here for a full year of ML adventures. I did a similar strategy with Raschka’s first textbook. About four years ago, I had finished Andrew Ng’s Deep Learning Specialization as a student in his first cohort. I knew the concepts well but could not do the actual application coding. I was surprised how my Python coding improved by following Raschka’s clean and elegant style. And Raschka’s code examples were meaty enough to be springboards into working applications. Several textbook editions later, what is different about this new edition? First, it moves you through scikit-Learn (a firm foundation) to PyTorch, instead of TensorFlow. PyTorch is a better stepping-stone, both conceptually and practically. With PyTorch, you will go further with less energy, while being able to convert your efforts into TensorFlow as needed. In addition, most of the cutting-edge ML/AI/DL research is in PyTorch. It is nice to read a recent arXiv paper, clone their repository, click on the Colab tutorial, and replicate their experiments, along with picking up a ton of new coding tricks & tips. I am excited to work through these PyTorch sections to hone my skills. Second, there is a clear recognition of model tracking and tuning practices. This is often a gap in other ML textbooks and courses. Once you progress beyond the simple demo examples in a lecture, you realize that the real work is experiments, more experiments, and still more experiments, so that you must understand what the model architecture and hyperparameters are doing to your dataset. There is good coverage of scikit-Learn pipeline, grid search, model performance, and the like. Third, ML/AI/DL practice is rapidly evolving. Every week new ML packages/services become available that could save much grief on your current project. What is refreshing about Raschka’s textbook series is that he constantly adding cutting-edge topics because he likes to stay current and to help us stay current. Hence, this edition contains recent ML treats as: transformers, self-supervised learning, autoencoders-to-GAN, graph neural networks, DBSCAN, t-SNE (with brief mention of UMAP), and PyTorch-Lightning.
