The biggest difference between Conophytum and Lithops is that Conophytum is a winter growing plant. They are active from early fall until late spring or early summer. They then go dormant during the summer. Water regularly (for a succulent) during the growing season then stop watering in the summer (maybe a little water once a month). You know the plants are dormant when the leaves dry up (looks dead but isn't). These dry leaves form a cover over next year's growth. When ready to grow the new leaves will burst through the old leaves.

Please note: Plant color varies greatly depending on growing conditions. The dark red color seen in the pictures happens in high light and drier conditions. It will become greener in lower light.

You will receive one of the plants shown in the last image.   They are shown  growing in a 2.5" pot.  These are very tiny plants.
