Appearance
Deep amber with warm golden hues — the rich, inviting colour of a single malt matured in customised virgin American oak and finished in ex-sherry casks, with the depth and warmth that the Loaded Barrel approach to barrel selection delivers.
Aroma
Vanilla and toffee from the virgin American oak lead — with the ex-sherry finish adding plum, dark berry, and the rich, dried fruit complexity that contrasts and complements the bold oak-driven front end. Inviting, layered, and immediately distinctive.
Palate
Oak-driven vanilla and toffee sweetness up front — the ex-sherry cask finish delivering plum and dark berry that lingers on the tongue, with the even-tempered balance and well-rounded character that the contrast between virgin oak and ex-sherry creates. Lighter and fruitier than you might expect, thanks to the tall copper pot still and its passive reflux design. Dangerously drinkable.
