The Umber set tells a story of the earth and its textures. It is rough, untamed, always with a different character. By using a variety stones and tools, I wanted to walk through an imaginary landscape where the roughness of the soil can bring to life something extraordinary. In fact, it always does. An unexpected gem embodied in the translucency of porcelain. The stoneware brings a sense of stability and permanence, while the porcelain introduces lightness and translucence. They are envisioned to stand together, each to tell its own story, allowing those who use them to tell their own.
Each set has a unique texture and the dimensions vary from 35/40cm x 40/45cm. Sets are packed in a hand-painted paper by Vilenica Studio.
