This Fender Custom Shop '68 J-Bass embodies the essence of an era that pioneered music, combining vintage vibe with modern flair. Built from a premium 2-piece alder body, this '68 J-Bass mirrors the classic '68 J Bass silhouette, staying true to its roots while adding a touch of modernity.

The Journeyman Relic finish in Aged Black tells a story and works to enhance resonance at the same time. From the black opaque block inlays on the quarter-sawn maple fingerboard, to the Micarta white 3/32" side dots, every nuance contributes to an instrument that's as visually beautiful as it is sonically powerful.

A '60 J Bass "U" neck profile makes for a comfortable grip, allowing players to navigate the fretboard with comfort and ease. A 7.25" fingerboard radius also provides that familiar vintage feel, while the bone nut with a 1.5" width creates optimal string spacing. Form and function collide with 20 vintage-style frets, offering ample space for fretting, while handwound Vintage J Bass pickups hold down the tone, with the marriage of a lead bridge pickup and a rhythm neck pickup, coupled with the '64 J Bass control configuration (Vol, Vol, Tone).

The '68 J-Bass is yet another testament to the legacy of the Fender Custom Shop, where each instrument is built meticulously from the ground up.

  • Authentic '68 J-Bass, a relic'd time capsule
  • 2-Piece Alder body for vintage resonance

  • '60 J Bass "U" neck profile for comfortable play

Tips broke in the binding post
Size: 12 Pairs / 24 pcs, Size: 12 Pairs / 24 pcs
UPDATE: Two tips broke off when unplugging them from the binding post and are now lodged in. Inexcusable and an utterly poor product. Solid connection in the binding post with no wobble or wiggle. They require some force to insert into the binding post, but once they're in they remain snug. I also tried removing and reinserting a few times and the connection remained solid. I've used other plugs in the past that have a softer tip and easily deform after one or two insertions. These do not have that issue.

Does the job, easy use, a bit bulky not exactly as described
Size: 12 Pairs / 24 pcs
Bare wire can be intolerable to work with. Banana plugs make a positive secure connection. These plugs are a touch bulky. Nice to not have to deal with small screws. Use as large of gauge wire as possible. The description says no unintentional disconnections. I beg to differ the bite of teeth aren’t as good as described. Used a 16 gauge pure copper speaker wire and a teenager taught me how secure the wire really is by tugging on the wire not the banana plug pulling the wire free. It does the job, it’s not the latest and greatest. If you need easy get these. If you want slim secure banana plugs buy the small screw type.

GET THEM!!
Size: 12 Pairs / 24 pcs, Size: 12 Pairs / 24 pcs
Fully gold plated inside and out! I initially got the amazon basic connectors for the same price, but was disappointed in the tiny burgundy positive label they had. It was also very dirty inside the connector and it wasn’t gold plated through out the connector. These are excellent in quality and have a bright red ban on the connector! You wont be disappointed and beats out Sewell connectors for the price!

Decent, but be careful of frequent use.
Size: 12 Pairs / 24 pcs, Size: 12 Pairs / 24 pcs
The looks are very nice, functional if left alone once assembled. After that I would leave them alone otherwise you risk the main male portion just coming loose of the housing, sound quality is decent, nothing to write home about, but again, not very durable. If they could fix that 1 thing, these would be very good buy and value, the rest of each plug is hefty and well made.
