Explore the groundbreaking intersection of architecture and philosophy with 'Architecture and Objects,' a pivotal work by Graham Harman, founder of object-oriented ontology (OOO). This insightful book challenges traditional architectural theories and practices by diving deep into the critical examination of form and function through the lens of OOO. Designed for architects, students, and theorists alike, it presents a novel perspective on how buildings and their functions can be understood beyond conventional limits.

Published by the University of Minnesota Press in 2022, this essential read critiques the philosophical giants like Heidegger, Derrida, and Deleuze, exploring their limitations in architectural discourse. Harman offers fresh critiques of renowned architects such as Rem Koolhaas, Frank Gehry, and Zaha Hadid, urging a reconsideration of architecture’s relational characteristics. Discover how Harman's theory proposes transformative concepts of zero-form and zero-function, encouraging a radical departure from viewing architecture merely as visual style and stated purpose.

By delving into these advanced philosophical ideas, 'Architecture and Objects' equips readers with a roadmap toward a deeper understanding of contemporary architecture’s dialogue with philosophy. Whether you’re interested in architectural theory, object-oriented ontology, or the evolvement of modern architecture, this book is your guide to an innovative conceptual framework. Embark on a journey that redefines our approach to architecture and its interaction with the objects we create.

The book is worth the money, the software is a bonus.
Format: Paperback
I had purchased a version of this a long time ago, but this one is better. I highly recommend the book. It gave me loads of information. It helped me decide that I didn't need to have a living trust in my situation. Very easy to use and understand.

If you order this kit verify that you receive the 2026 book
Format: Paperback
Good software that walks you through the steps to create your will, a trust, and a number of other necessary documents that you might want, or need. The book Amazon shipped was for 2025, not 2026, hence the one star subtraction. The code for the software in the book did not work, probably because it was over a year old. I wanted to get started and didn't want to go through the return process, so I contacted Nolo and they were great. They asked to see a copy of the invoice and once they confirmed it was for 2026 (during the call,) they provided the correct software. While I would have preferred the 2026 book, I suspected the 2025 was close enough, and the software will advise what has changed for anything I do.
