Classic PRS construction and design manifest across this guitar for a totally killer instrument. A solid mahogany body with an asymmetrical top bevel makes for a streamlined experience under the arms. Resonant and easily carried, this mahogany body acts as an excellent sonic springboard. A set mahogany neck pairs up with the body to match with a PRS Pattern Regular profile. Pairing a solid grip in hand with a sleek touch, this neck inspires quick playing from higher to lower registers.
The playing experience onboard this PRS doesn't stop with its neck, however. A rosewood fingerboard lined with twenty-two frets builds up the physical experience of this guitar with an easy touch across the fingers to facilitate speedy fretting. Lay down barre chords or rip a solo across this rosewood's modern ten-inch radius and this S2 Standard 22 gives back lovingly.
Where would we be without some classic humbucking muscle, though? Onboard, two 58/15 "S" pickups dial in heat and kick for players looking to drive their amps or mesh with pedals. Where these pickups expand the experience is with their individual coil-tapping functionalities. Pull either the volume or tone knobs on this PRS and split the treble or bass pickup for single-coil sounds, melding exciting new sounds on the fly.
From here, this S2 Standard 22's hardware takes the stage with a PRS patented molded tremolo bridge. Focusing in on expressive vibrato bends while retaining intonation, this bridge is stable and sturdy for great playability. PRS low mass locking tuners align the iconic PRS headstock at this guitar's opposite end to compound on the stability and intonation of the entire instrument. When moving from place to place, this S2 travels with security in an included PRS gig bag.
