The name is derived from the color being as hot as the Louisiana summer sun and it grows to approximately 5’ tall in zones 10-11. The Louisiana Red is an evergreen with glossy texture that can be used as a summer shrub, container plant, or anywhere a low maintenance, season long color is desired. Hardy in zones 10-11, but can be grown in containers and as annual in cooler climates, just keep in mind that mature height will be considerably smaller in cooler, sorter summers. These are growing in 3.5-inch, deep pots.
