Red Oak Block RO-510 1.8" x 1.8" x 14.8"Red Oak Block RO 510 1. 8" x 1. 8" x 14. 8" 1. 3 lbs. This is a nice end grain Red Oak spindle. The grain is fairly straight and is slightly inclined to the long axis of the block. The block is air dried to 10 12% moisture content. There is a corner patch of bark and wane at one end, near the annotation. I've taken a few photos of this so that you can see in detail. If turning this piece, you have a good 1. 5" diagonal of solid wood at that end.
