The EnviroVent MEV160 Mechanical Extract Ventilation (MEV) Unit is an innovative, energy-efficient system designed to provide continuous ventilation and improve indoor air quality. Compact yet powerful, the MEV160 delivers airflow rates of up to 75l/s (270 m³/hr), making it ideal for houses, apartments and communal properties such as care homes and student accommodation.

Designed to extract moisture-laden air from multiple wet rooms simultaneously, the MEV160 helps prevent condensation and reduces the migration of humidity throughout the property. With an exceptionally low Specific Fan Power of just 0.19 W/l/s, it offers excellent energy performance while supporting ventilation requirements for a kitchen plus up to six additional wet rooms.

Simple & Flexible Installation

The MEV160 has been designed with installers in mind. Its slim 160mm profile and lightweight construction allow for easy positioning even where space is restricted. The unit can be mounted horizontally on ceilings or floors, or vertically on walls, providing maximum installation flexibility.

Six twist, fix and release duct entry points allow for fast and adaptable duct connections, while the push-button commissioning pad enables installers to quickly and accurately set the required airflow rate.

Fast Track Ducting Compatibility

The MEV160 can be paired with the EnviroVent Fast Track ducting system, allowing installations to be completed up to twice as fast compared with traditional screw-and-glue ducting methods. The system also features an antibacterial internal lining and provides a secure airtight connection.

Intelligent Humidity Control

With Intellitrac® humidity tracking built in as standard, the MEV160 automatically monitors humidity levels and adjusts the fan speed accordingly. This ensures effective control of condensation and moisture without requiring user intervention.

The system also supports AirSens® indoor air quality sensors, enabling automatic response to changes in CO? levels, VOCs and relative humidity. When air quality drops, the MEV160 increases extraction rates to maintain a healthier indoor environment.

AirSens® Indoor Air Quality Monitoring

Optional AirSens® sensors provide a simple colour-coded display to indicate air quality levels:

• Red – Poor air quality
• Amber – Moderate air quality
• Green – Good air quality

The sensors can detect:

• Carbon dioxide (CO?)
• Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
• Relative humidity

Environmentally Responsible Design

The MEV160 has been engineered with sustainability in mind. Manufactured largely from recyclable materials, the unit reduces environmental impact while allowing components to be easily replaced if required. Combined with DC motor technology, it delivers extremely low energy consumption and reduced carbon emissions.
