This new arrival is an extremely accurate recreation of the classic '60s psychedelic effect popularized by the likes of Robin Tower, David Gilmour, and of course Jimi Hendrix. It is packaged in a sleek and compact metal chassis, providing the iconic tone that began with the Shin-Ei UniVibe all those years ago in a much desirable space-saving enclosure.
While capturing vintage chorus and vibrato tones, the Ultraviolet Vintage Vibe is more than a recreation of a Uni-Vibe. The Ultraviolet comes with an array of new tone shaping features as well as expansions for MIDI and stereo operations.
Controls on the top panel are for Speed, Intensity, and Volume, while two three-way mini toggles allow for additional tone sculpting. The Ultraviolet's Mode control switches from classic Chorus and Vibrato modes, while Strymon has added a new Blend mode, which offers a 70% Chorus/50% Vibrato sound. A three-way Bias control selects the center frequency of the effect sweep.
The Strymon Ultraviolet features a single input and output, both TRS Stereo capable. It also offers a TRS/MIDI Expression jack and USB-C in for firmware updates.
