Homeschool Sewing Group
Are you a homeschooler looking for a creative, hands-on activity for your kids? Our Homeschool Sewing Club is the perfect opportunity for children to develop valuable life skills, express their creativity, and connect with other young makers in a supportive environment.
When: Monday, 9:30 to 11:30 or 12 to 2pm
Tuesday, 9:30 to 11:30 or 12 to 2pm
Thursday, 12 to 2pm

SECOND TERM- 2026
Our first club begins on Monday, 20th April, and then every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after, for the school term.
Cost: $220 per term, for 10 weeks. Payment options are available.
*Please note: Mondays group will be a 7 week term due to the public holiday and the studio being closed for the last two weeks of the term. No session will be held on Monday, 4th May and the last two Mondays (Monday session-$154 for 7 weeks).
*Please note: Tuesdays group will be a 7 week term due to the studio being closed Tuesday, 19th May and the last two Tuesdays of the term (Tuesday session-$154 for 7 weeks).
*Please note: Thursdays group will be an 8 week term due to the studio being closed for the last two weeks of the term (Thursdays session-$176 for 8 weeks).
Location: Wild Haired Girl Studio, Little Mountain, Caloundra
What to Expect:
• Engaging Projects: Each week, students will work on fun and practical sewing projects tailored to their skill levels, such as tote bags, pencil cases, a drawstring bag, and a super fun emoji pillow. Many other items will be made over the term.
• Skill Development: Kids will learn sewing basics, including how to use a sewing machine, read patterns, and sew seams. As they progress, they’ll take on more advanced techniques like inserting zippers and working with different fabrics.
• Social Connection: This group fosters a sense of community where kids can make friends and share their creative journey with like-minded peers.
• Experienced Instruction: Classes are taught by a skilled sewing instructor who loves teaching kids and is dedicated to creating a positive, patient, and fun learning atmosphere. Nicole is an experienced sewing instructor, and has been sewing for more than 20 years. Nicole has a current Working with Children Blue Card.
Who Can Join?
• Ages 8 and up
• No prior sewing experience required—beginners are welcome!
What’s Included:
• All sewing machines, tools, fabric, and other items needed are provided.
• Students may be asked to bring specific fabrics or trims for an end of term project of their choice.
