Posh Pop is a strong collection of infectious and affirmative pop songs that are as joyous as they are reflective, from the cosmic groove of "Space Dance", to the sun-kissed anthem of unity "Summer Of Love". The album is crafted with evocative storytelling and musicianship from Toyah, Simon Darlow (guitars, keyboards, cello), Bobby Willcox (guitar) and Jeremy Stacey (drums). Posh Pop opens with the energy-burst of "Levitate" and leads the listener on a journey that climaxes in the soaring, intergalactic-tinged "Take Me Home". The album was inspired by the world we find ourselves in today and touches on the ever-present desire to be 'famous for fifteen minutes' a la Andy Warhol, escaping the everyday, but above all staying connected to humankind beyond computer screens and geography. Produced by Simon Darlow, Posh Pop is Toyah's first brand new studio solo album since 2008 and twenty-fifth album since 1979.

Fun read

My son says he doesnt enjoy reading but once he gets going he quickly gets pulled in. He said he'd seen the Epic books at school and he typically liked them, so we gave it a try. He read it in about 2 days, its summer so its amazing he read to begin with, but in asking him, he said it was a good story and it was easy to read. Honestly I like my kids to have books that are easy to read but will throw in the occasional big word as a learning opportunity. The book quality itself is really nice. From cover to cover the book is well made and feels durable. The illustrations are bright and well done. Overall I would highly recommend this to any child who might enjoy time travel with a touch of history.

A fun, comic style book

My fourth grader really enjoyed this book and asked if it was a part of a series. We didn't sit down and read it in one setting and usually when that happens we forget to come back and finish a book..... But she didn't forget about this one. Will probably reread it in the future too. The pages are nice quality and the colors are bright. The print is a little bit on the teeny side; But that's pretty typical in comic style print. We were really happy with it! I think a kid as young as second or third grade could also enjoy this book if they are reading skills are a little on the stronger side. I've sat with 5th graders who would read it this level too.

Kids had fun reading this book. My 7 year old thought it was lot of fun. My 11 year old thought the story had few holes where people and events were happening without any explanation. But overall, both had fun reading it. The book is made really well - it's beautifully illustrated and printed well. The behind-the-scene look at the how the characters were drawn was really neat as well.
