Collecting Colour was inspired by author and illustrator Kylie Dunstan s time spent as an Arts Officer at a community centre in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory. Kylie was born in Broken Hill, New South Wales in 1972, and completed secondary and tertiary (Bachelor of Visual Arts) schooling in Adelaide. She worked for a number of years in commercial art galleries before her twelve-month stint in Gunbalanya (Oenpelli), Arnhem Land. Following this she traveled overseas before returning to Australia and settling in Melbourne where she worked for Museums Australia. In 2004 Kylie received an ASA mentorship and worked with author and illustrator Sally Rippin on the development of Collecting Colour. She relocated to Adelaide with her partner and two young children in 2005.

Are holding up great, but needed the wide
I bought these shoes for my daughter to wear to kindergarten. They wear navy uniforms and she loves pink so I thought these were perfect. I ordered her size according to the size chart (but didn’t check width because she’s never needed wide shoes in the past). The normal width were too tight on her toes but the length was right. I returned them for the wide and they are perfect. 2 months into school they still look brand new. Just be sure to check both length and width. I printed a measuring guide from Saucony’s website.

Pink and purple perfection

Fits great and perfect colors for my (not so) little. This is her first pair of "tie" shoes so we're still learning, but the laces are a good length for teaching and practicing. She says they're very comfortable too.
