The Fender American Performer Telecaster is a carefully crafted instrument for maximized playability and performance. A familiar look to many but groundbreaking in design, the classic body shape and hardware design is revised to keenly focus on expanding the performance capabilities of the Telecaster. Updates to the American Performer include the addition of American Performer Yosemite single-coil pickups. The Yosemite pickups are designed to create a well-rounded tone that is specially voiced for each instrument and selection position. Along with revised pickups, the American Performer Telecaster introduces a new feature, the Greasebucket tone circuit system, where players can quickly cut treble in their signal without losing gain. The American Performer Telecaster further contributes to a revitalized playing experience with the integration of a “Modern C”-shaped neck and 22 jumbo frets. These two features enable players to comfortably incorporate bends into playing while easily traversing the 9.5” radius fingerboard. To wholly capture an authentic Telecaster experience, the American Performer includes appointments and hardware such as a vintage-style bridge, ClassicGear tuning machines, and a silver ‘70s headstock logo.
