On June 1st, 1989, Joe Nikisch and Matthias Senke founded the ABACUSSPIELE publishing house in Dreieich near Frankfurt. Today, as then, ABACUSSPIELE's goal is to bring the whole family to the table and let them communicate and interact with each other.
The focus of our products is on games that are easy to access and have little rule text, so that you can start playing quickly. Nevertheless, it is important to us that the games have a good balance of easy access and that certain something, combined with a high replay value. All players, whether old or young, experienced or inexperienced, should have fun together. In the early days of ABACUSSPIELE, the focus was on wooden games that were made in-house. Now the quantities are so high that this is no longer possible. Nevertheless, when producing the games, we attach great importance to quality and sustainable materials, such as wood and cardboard.
