The Anjou Noir s dark rocks, primarily schists and various volcanic formations, provide a pronounced and unique character to the wines. The winery benefits from the region s low rainfall, suitable hillsides, and the influence of the Loire River and its tributaries. This diversity of terroirs, combined with the area s microclimate, creates ideal conditions for growing Chenin Blanc, the king of Angevin grape varieties. Terra Vita Vinum s commitment to organic practices and terroir-driven winemaking results in wines that express the distinct mineral qualities of each parcel, offering a true taste of the Anjou Noir s geological heritage. This Vin de France from Terra Vita Vinum s Parcellaires range is a Cabernet Franc grown on the black, grey-green, and purple schist of Anjou Noir. Produced organically with hand-harvested grapes, it undergoes whole bunch maceration and aging in various vessels. The winery emphasizes creating unique, terroir-driven wines that reflect nature s offerings. This red wine features a complex nose, silky tannins, and a fresh, precise finish. It s recommended to serve at 13°C, enjoy between 16-17°C, and pairs well with grilled red meat or pot-au-feu. The wine has long-term cellaring potential.
