The Martin D-X2E Molly Tuttle assembles with a great lineup of Martin specifications. This all begins, of course, with an iconic D-14 Fret dreadnought body brought together by a spruce top and figured mahogany high pressure laminate back and sides. This body is treated to a smooth satin finish and decked with a Vintage Sunburst top color for that added visual flourish. 5/16" scalloped spruce braces in an X-Brace pattern produces a lush, rich tone primed for the stage.

Extending out, this D-X2E features a select hardwood neck in a Martin 1941 profile with a Standard Taper. Making for a smooth connection to the palm and easy moves up and down the neck's length, this neck is highly mobile for Tuttle's brand of fiery bluegrass playing. What's more, an ebony fingerboard lands with this neck lined with twenty frets and adorned with faux Mother of Pearl and faux abalone custom Moon Phase inlays. This pattern, replicating lunar phase patterns, waxes and wanes along the scale for a unique visual accent.
