This cooler is powered by electricity rather than ice, featuring dual power options: it can be plugged into a 12/24V DC vehicle auxiliary outlet or a 100-240V AC standard wall socket. Both cables are included for convenience. The unit does not have an internal battery, so continuous cooling requires connection to an external power source such as a car power outlet, household electricity, or a portable battery pack.
For added protection, the Igloo ICF40 includes a built-in three-stage battery protection system that automatically switches off the cooler if low voltage is detected, preventing your vehicle’s battery from draining.
