You simply fill up the water pitcher with tap water and the pitcher along with its filter will produce water with a moderate pH and moderate negative Oxidation Reduction Potential (-ORP) levels. A negative ORP level means the water functions in a more healthy way. Regular water has a positive ORP, which means it is an oxidant which could create damaging free radicals in your body.
While they are convenient, alkalizing pitchers can’t match the power, filtration and health benefits of an in-home alkaline water machine. Even though they are not as powerful as an in-home system, they make great-tasting water that is far superior to any water you would buy in a store. Especially since most bottled waters contain toxins like BPA.
Dosage: You should be drinking half of our body weight in ounces of good alkaline water on a daily basis. To gain even more benefits from alkaline water, you should also consider cooking with it as much as possible.
