Imagine the gentle strum of a harp echoing through an Irish hillside at dusk – each note rich with 800 years of history and hope.

That’s the magic our Celtic Harp™ Pendant carries.

Wearing this pendant is not just putting on jewelry; it’s draping yourself in Ireland’s soul. In fact, the harp (not the shamrock!) is the official emblem of Ireland, a national symbol adored since medieval times. From ancient kings’ courts to modern coins, its image endures as a proud reminder of Irish resilience, harmony, and heritage. When you clasp this pendant, you’re holding that very legacy close to your heart.

Crafted from fine 925 sterling silver and finished in lush 18K yellow gold, the Celtic Harp Pendant glows with a warm, timeless elegance. Its design is pure metalwork mastery – no gemstones needed – every curve and Celtic detail is lovingly sculpted to let the harp’s meaning shine. (Don’t worry, you won’t need to tune it!) The harp’s graceful frame (~1 inch tall) hangs from an 18-inch sterling silver chain with a 4-inch extender for the perfect length. The quality is tangible: you’ll feel the smooth weight of real silver and see the rich golden hue catch the light, reminiscent of the rare Irish sun breaking through the clouds – a little Irish wit we had to include, because why not wear a smile along with your style?

Legend has it that in Celtic mythology, a magical harp could make warriors laugh or weep with just a single song. We can’t guarantee this pendant will start Riverdance in your living room (though we’d love to hear about it if it does!), but we do know it will strike a chord deep in your heart. Each time you wear it, you might recall grandma’s lilting Irish lullabies or grandpa’s proud tales of County Cork. Each glance in the mirror is a gentle reminder of the bonds of family and the indomitable Irish spirit that flows in your veins. This pendant doesn’t just tug at your heartstrings – it is a heartstring, connecting you to generations of stories, love, and laughter. Go ahead, let it whisper the song of your heritage every day, and watch as Irish eyes (yours and everyone else’s) can’t help but smile.

Not to harp on, but this piece is truly special. Whether you’re gifting it to a beloved mother or daughter, or treating yourself as a proud Irish soul, the Celtic Harp Pendant hits all the right notes. Harp music is known to be gentle, enchanting, and ageless – and we’ve designed this treasure to be the same. Jewelry should be more than just pretty; it should tell a story. This pendant is a story you can wear: a story of Irish pride, poetic romance, and unyielding spirit wrapped in precious metal. It’s a conversation starter (“Oh, is that the Irish harp? How gorgeous!”), a little piece of the Emerald Isle resting right above your heart, and a timeless heirloom of tomorrow.

Key Features:

  • Authentic Irish Symbolism: Showcases the official national emblem of Ireland, the Irish harp, a symbol cherished for over 800 years. Wearing it is like carrying Ireland’s poetry and pride wherever you go.
  • Finest Materials: Meticulously crafted from solid 925 sterling silver and richly plated with 18K yellow gold for a luxurious finish. This heirloom-quality piece offers the perfect blend of durability and opulence (without the solid gold price tag!).
  • Intricate Design: Detailed openwork design captures the elegance of a traditional Celtic harp. Notice the graceful curves and Celtic knot-inspired accents – a nod to Ireland’s artistry in every inch.
  • Ready to Wear: Includes an 18″ sterling silver chain with a comfortable extender up to 22″, so you can adjust it to lie beautifully on any neckline. A secure lobster clasp means it stays put, even when you’re dancing a jig (or just going about your day).
  • Meaningful Gift: Comes gift-ready in a keepsake box with a card explaining the harp’s rich history. An ideal present for mothers, grandmothers, or anyone proud of their Irish roots. (Trust us, this will earn you all the brownie points – no one returns a gift that makes them smile and swoon at the same time!)

Wrap yourself in the enchanting legacy of the Celtic harp. The first time you hold this pendant, you’ll feel that special tingle – as if it’s softly humming an old Irish tune just for you. Don’t be surprised if you stand a little taller wearing it; that’s the unmistakable glow of Irish pride shining from within. After all, to wear the Irish harp is to carry the very essence of Ireland – its music, its spirit, its heart. And who wouldn’t want a bit of that magic every day?

Make the Celtic Harp Pendant yours today, and let its silent melody inspire you. Wear your story, celebrate your heritage, and keep Ireland close – in style and in spirit. Sláinte! 🍀

Excellent Tool for Approaching Homer via English
Format: Hardcover
I love the Loeb editions of Homer. I've already ready the Odyssey, now moving on to the Iliad. What I've especially started to enjoy with this volume of the Iliad is the editors decision to "call out" which lines were rejected by which ancient commentators (Aristarchus, etc.). This adds some fun to the reading because you get to review the line in Greek and try to surmise why they rejected it, or how the passage would work without the line. The translation is reasonably modern but still "lordly" and has the tone of a war epic. It was enjoyable to read aloud in both English and Greek.

2,800 years worth of people have heard/read Homer
Format: Hardcover
I just finished reading volume 1 of Homer's Iliad published by The LOEB Classical Library in conjunction with Harvard University Press. The translation is by A.T. Murray with revisions made by William F. Wyatt. The LOEB Classical Library is a academically trusted collection of Greek and Latin publications. The translations are normally more literal than those you might find at your local Barnes and Noble, therefore they read more like an archaic form of English. Homer's Iliad can be found on nearly every great works of literature list. Harold Bloom considered Homer to be in the same family with Cervantes, Dante, and Shakespeare. The Iliad has been read for thousands of years, and every reputable honors program includes his works in their required readings lists. His writings influenced Tolkien and George R.R. Martin. His descriptions of war are grotesque and inspiring. The pantheon of deities he created in his stories set the stage for the Greek mythology that followed him. This is the understanding I had when approaching the book. The bar was set rather high and unlike most expectations these ones were surpassed. As I finished reading volume 1, I asked myself, "how could a writer from the 8th century B.C. have achieved so much, when so many from our era have achieved so little?" Homer had no paper trail of literary criticism to follow. He had no classes in writing style and technique, and yet the Iliad is of such a high caliber that we still read him today. Wayne C. Booth brought to our attention Homer's "leave nothing up to the reader" style of reading. If Homer wants you to favor one group over another, he is going to come out and say it. He can tell you every thought and intent of each character. Homer doesn't care that it would be impossible for anyone to know the thoughts of Agamemnon or Hector. He knows what they thought and that's enough. Many writers today shy away from such literary techniques in favor of modes that demand "reader response." This is not necessarily bad, it's just a different approach but many of their works, if not all, will not demand the attention of 2,800 years worth of readers.

Excellent for learning Homeric Greek
Format: Hardcover
The book is bilingual Homeric Greek-English. It is a Word to word translation of the wonderful ancient text... Reading Iliad is a must for all modern man. With this book, with the help of the opposite page English translation, you can read it in its original too. Homeric Greek is not biblical Greek. It's even older and more beautiful.. So, It may not be the best book for biblical greek readers or learners. But if you are serious about learning ancient Greek and want to do it by reading it word by word with the help of English translation, this book is the right one to start with. Homeric Greek is a dead language, therefore people don't know how to pronounce it. There are many theories about it but there is an interesting guy on YouTube with the nickname "kleber kosta", and he is the best reader of Iliad when it comes to pronouncing it.

Homer's Iliad, Books 1-12
Format: Hardcover
This is a wonderful adjunct to any text for anyone interested in Homeric Greek. It reads well in and of itself and seems to be highly accurate. Of course I recommend it.
