The primary purpose of cabin air filter is to help clean the air that enters into your vehicle through the ventilation system, keeping the air inside your vehicle clean and fresh. Location of this cabin filter: Passenger side behind the glove box. Tools: Phillips-head screwdriver.
When you change your filter (maybe variant for your model. Please see the owner’s manual or find a local mechanic for exact instructions for the particular model):
- While sitting in the passenger seat, open the glove box.
- Remove the 6 screws holding the glove box in place. The screws are located with two on each upper side (left and right), 2 inside top of the glove box (center), and 2 inside bottom of the glove box (left and right).
- Remove the glove box and set aside. Now, with the filter housing exposed, open the filter housing door by sliding the locking latch.
- Remove the old filter by sliding it to the opening and pulling straight out.
- Install your new cabin filter by sliding into filter housing.
- Install remove parts by reversing the removal procedure. Close the glovebox and it’s done.
