'Magical Realism - The Best Of The Blue Aeroplanes 1985-2025' is the first definitive anthology curated by the band, including tracks from across their catalogue.

The collection includes 25 tracks, featuring indie anthems like '... And Stones' and 'Jacket Hangs,' classic and more recent fan-favourites from 'Fun' and 'Bury Your Love Like Treasure to 'Dead Tree! Dead Tree!', plus eight tracks making their debut on vinyl. 'Magical Realism' also includes new track-by-track sleeve notes by frontman Gerard Langley, offering insight into the stories and inspirations behind each song, rare photographs from the band's archives, and a 12"x12" lyric sheet. 

The cover art features a painting by Ann Sheldon, the artist behind many of the band's most memorable covers. Remastered by Phil Kinrade and cut by Barry Grint at AIR Mastering.
