Published in collaboration with the Archivio Marca-Relli, based at the Niccoli gallery in Parma, the monograph looks back at the milestones in the Italian-American artist's career, documenting the strong impact of Marca-Relli and his work on the American and international scene.
In the years immediately after the Second World War, Conrad Marca-Relli (Boston, 1913 - Parma, 2000) was, in fact, one of the protagonists of the New York art scene, first joining the Downton Group and then founding the Eight Street Club in 1949 with Mark Rothko, Fran Kline and William de Kooning. A friend of Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner, a lecturer at Yale and Berkeley, the Whitney Museum dedicated a solo exhibition him in 1967. A tireless traveller between the United States and Europe, in 1997 he moved to Parma, a city chosen because of his collaboration with the Galleria d'Arte Niccoli, with which he founded the Archivio Marca-Relli in the same year. Since then, the archive has contributed to all the exhibitions dedicated to the artist, including the major retrospective held in the Rotonda on Via Besana in Milan in 2008. Fast and efficient!

These are a very nice set. Our other pair started grinding the salt and pepper as soon as you flipped it over and made a mess. This set here you have to push the button first. Also it is faster at grinding. Recommend!

Who knew laziness could be so rewarding?!

Super happy with this purchase. With the press of a button I have freshly ground salt and pepper...makes a big difference in taste. I appreciate the lighted bottoms which make it easier to see the quantity being dispensed. The charge has lasted a full month so far with near daily use. They are attractive on my counter and the tray they sit in collects the loosened remnants and is very easy to clean.
May give as gifts this year!

Poor Grind Mechanisms

Salt grinder fell apart in 6 weeks. The item looks nice, but the grind settings on both the salt and pepper did not yield truly different grind. They always came out the same size, regardless of setting. About 5 weeks in, the clear plastic bottom came off of the salt grinder. I wasn't even using rock salt, just coarse salt. I could not get the piece back in. Then, the entire grind assembly came out as I was cooking. This item did not even get daily use. I purchased a different brand several years ago, I wish I had purchased that one again. I thought I was getting a good deal based on reviews.
**UPDATED 9/19** Seller made reasonable accommodations to make it right. Very pleased with how this was handled. Stars reflect customer service,

very well made and super easy to fill and clean. great price and the dial for coarseness is great. i have arthritis and can no longer do the twist version of cracked pepper and salt. This makes it so much easier to use. The light is a nice feature.
