  • The Twin Cooler Extension Kit comes with
    1x Setrab 19-row oil cooler.
    1x Pre assembled stainless steel bracket for the left side.
    1x Complete mounting bracket for the left cooler.
    1x Hose kit.
     
  • Warm Climate and Track use
    We recommend the Twin cooler setup for cars in very warm climates and cars that are used on a track.

Installation instructions come with kit

Suitable for E82 135i Coupe, E88 135i Convertible and E82 1 Series M (1M) models fitted with N54 or N55 engine. 

EXPERT'S ADVICE

"Upgrade the Single Oil Cooler Kit of your BMW 1-Series E8x to a Twin cooler setup with this Twin Cooler Extention Kit E8x. The twin setup is recommended for cars in a very warm climate and cars that will be used on a track.

The Twin Extension kit comes with the 1x Setrab 19 row oil cooler, 1x stainless MSL bracket, 1x Mounting bracket, and a hose kit (1 oil hose).

Note: This item is not ''plug-and-play''. You will need to make some adjustments to the car to fit the bigger oil cooler and bracket. Additional OEM products that you need for the installation are: oil cooler front air duct (left), wheel arch air duct (left), inside wheel arch for the auxiliary cooler (left).

​Installing the twin oil cooler extension on a BMW 1M requires some extra modifications to make the left oil cooler fit into the car. The 1M is equipped with an auxiliary water cooler on the left side of the car. This is the place where the second oil cooler needs to be installed. To make this fit the auxiliary watercooler has to be removed and probably a bigger radiator has to be installed. It will add extra time to the installation process. "

    Beware - Few Instructions Fiddly Software!

    Against my better judgement I'm going to go ahead and keep this little device since I was able to figure out how to move around in the software. So these are first impressions, but clearly, I'm not impressed so far. If you're not comfortable with pressing buttons to see what happens then I'd advise you to look elsewhere. The device is packaged nicely, and when plugged into power, it popped right on and started recording. I know the product description says it comes with a 64 gb TF (mico-SD) card but the device's specs say it's only capable of seeing 32 gb. To get the card in and out of the device (because the only way to save videos is to remove it from the camera, put it into a card reader and plug that into your PC, laptop, or smartphone) both the power cable and the rear facing camera cables have to be unplugged. The instructions say it comes with a suction cup mount...it does not. You have to fiddle with a sticky pad to attach to your windshield, pull the cover off the other side and attach the camera to the sticky pad. Make sure the camera is placed where you want it because you only get one shot apparently. We'll see how it does, the picture appears clear on its little screen and it plays videos back quickly, it's just extremely fiddly moving around with the buttons and there are NO instructions how to get to those functions. But, it is what it is, and you get what you pay for...the jury's still out on it's functionality.
