Throughout the turbulent 1850s, each had energetically sought the presidency as the conflict over slavery was leading inexorably to secession and civil war. That Lincoln succeeded, Goodwin demonstrates, was the result of a character that had been forged by experiences that raised him above his more privileged and accomplished rivals. He won because he possessed an extraordinary ability to put himself in the place of other men, to experience what they were feeling, to understand their motives and desires.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
DORIS KEARNS GOODWIN's interest in leadership began more than half a century ago as a professor at Harvard. Her experiences working for LBJ in the White House and later assisting him on his memoirs led to her bestselling Lyndon Johnson and the American Dream. She followed up with the Pulitzer Prizewinning No Ordinary Time: Franklin & Eleanor Roosevelt: The Home Front in World War II. Goodwin earned the Lincoln Prize for the runaway bestseller Team of Rivals, the basis for Steven Spielberg's Academy Award-winning film Lincoln, and the Carnegie Medal for The Bully Pulpit, the New York Times bestselling chronicle of the friendship between Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft. Cute but not for a super chewer

It’s a super cute toy. My boy loves the squeaker toys and he’s a fast chewer. Unfortunately for him, he tore it up within 24 hours. It’s definitely not for super chewers but he had a good time with it while it lasted!

Fun Toy That Keeps Dogs Entertained

WOWBALA Interactive Squeaky Dog Chew Toy was purchased for my two granddogs, and they both took to it right away. The squeaker and soft plush design keep them interested and engaged during playtime. It’s great for tug-of-war and seems to hold up well with regular use. I like that it works for different sizes so that both dogs can enjoy it together. I will be purchasing another one for my dog at home. Overall, it’s a fun and playful toy that keeps them busy and happy.

Durability and lasting period of toy.

I got this toy for our bulldog. He had a hole in it, which will only progress, within minutes. I took it away until I could find out if there is any kind of warranty. The information says this toy is not for aggressive chewers, yet right in the description and the photo of the toy (that way I knew I was looking at the correct toy), it says for the "aggressive chewer". I am disappointed that even though it isn't how they described, it only lasted minutes before there was damage. Not sure if I would buy another product.

Won't last long

It lasted a couple weeks before my dog got it apart at the seams and had the stuffing all over the house. Won't hold up for long under aggressive play. I was going to return it, but my dog so loved this that I stuffed a sock in it and sewed it back together with heavier thread and more stitches. Hold up better for toys of the same price. Buy one, and have a sewing kit handy.
