Pecan Bowl Blank P-470 3.5" x 6.5" x 8" 4.5 lbs. This is an attractive half-log bowl blank of Texas-grown Pecan wood. Its color is a soft tan to peachy light brown color with subtle darker-brown streaks of mineralization. The wood grain has a pleasant and gracefully flowing pattern. It has full and well-attached bark on the back side. There are extensive tunnels of a wood borer in an interesting pattern. This feature will likely need epoxy stabilization if you want to preserve it or highlight it in your finished turning. This half-log bowl blank should be suitable for a bowl up to 8" in diameter and 3" deep. With the bark on the backside, you have the option of turning a conventional bowl or a "barky" natural-edge bowl. However, if you want a full bark edge on the "natural" rim, you will need to secure the bark with CA glue before and possibly during turning. This piece is GREEN to partially air-dried, meaning that it still retains a lot of its original moisture from when it was a living tree. Moisture content was 20-25% when measured in May, 2022. It has been well-sealed and is in the process of slowly drying. It was heat-treated to kill off any hungry critters that may have been burrowing inside. If you need a current moisture content, please message us and we'll check its status for you. This is a classic half-log blank, split through the center of the log. There is no pith present in the block. I'm taking plenty of photos of this piece, so please scroll down below the first 3 photos to see more. About the Tree This Texas-grown Pecan tree was harvested in Fresno Texas in December, 2021. It was in a residential neighborhood where it had been planted near a home that was built in the 1930s. Over the years, the small Pecan tree grew large, and it threatened the house. The homeowners reluctantly called their tree company to cut down the tree and stack the wood for us to recover. We're always happy to save wood from the firepit or city dump. Their trash is now yours to treasure! |

Fixes flats and old tires like a charm

This stuff is awesome. If you have tractor tires, ATV tires, bike, tires, hell, any tires that hold air. This stuff is awesome. Awesome. Awesome. It does not work for highway vehicles, i.e. Cars and truck trucks. But anything else it’s great. Dollies, air compressors, wheelbarrows, the stuff is awesome dude.

slime is and has always been amazing for bike tires and other small pneumatic tires

this is a great value, I have been using slime in my tubes of my bikes and a small inflatable pneumatic tires for probably 30 years, and I can say slime has only improved, and it works fantastic, this is a very good way to save money, and it works great on goat heads and several other ways your tires can get punctured, I still always recommend carrying a small air compressor or pump, but for the price point you just cannot beat slime, every bike shop should always carry this.

Spark-tacular Revival for My Lawn Chariot
Ordered this OEM 2-pack of Champion spark plugs (Kohler 25 132 23-S / 2513223S) for my Kohler Command K OHV 7000 series (KT725) engine, and let me tell you—these little lightning bolts mean business.
Installation? Easier than pretending I’ll read the whole owner’s manual. Pulled the old plugs, threaded these pre-gapped beauties in, torqued appropriately, reconnected, and boom—instant ignition enthusiasm. The engine fired up like it had just downed a double espresso.
It’s still too early in the season to mow, but I couldn’t resist a test run. Converted the tractor mower into a full-blown leaf-blasting machine and sent it down my 1/10-mile driveway like a suburban hurricane. Leaves scattered. Neighbors stared. Power was smooth, responsive, and downright smug.
Idle is steady. Throttle response is crisp. No sputter, no hesitation—just clean, confident combustion. Exactly what you want from OEM-spec plugs.
If your tractor’s been sounding like it’s negotiating with itself before starting, do it a favor. These plugs brought mine back to “runs like a champ”… which, given the name, feels poetically correct.
Five stars. Lawn domination pending.
