The RAP-B-400U is the small RAM® Tough-Claw™, a tool-free clamp base that grips round, square, and odd-shaped rails or bars from 16mm to 29mm (0.625" to 1.14") and finishes in a 1" B size rubber ball. That ball connects to any B size RAM® double socket arm, so you can mount a phone, tablet, action camera, or rod holder almost anywhere there is a bar to clamp to: aircraft yokes, motorbike and bike handlebars, kayak rails, roll bars, and wheelchair frames.

What size rail does the small Tough-Claw fit?

Round or square rails and bars from 16mm to 29mm (0.625" to 1.14") outer diameter, plus flat edges up to 29mm (1.14"). For thicker bars, step up to the medium (RAP-B-404U) or large (RAP-B-401U) claw.

What is the difference between the B and C ball versions?

Same clamp body, different ball. This B size version finishes in a 1" ball for B size arms and cradles. The C size version (RAP-400U) finishes in a 1.5" ball for heavier C size components. Match the ball to the arm you are running.

Do I need tools to fit it?

No. Place the clamp over the rail and tighten the knob by hand. It comes off just as fast, which is why a lot of our customers run it on wheelchairs and other mobility gear.
