Beautiful vintage Bennison linen upholstered 3 seater sofaThis vintage sofa was beautifully custom made & upholstered in Bennison's "Wheat Flower" linen fabric (printed in England, colourway 'Faded on Beige'), with a coordinating teal piping. The sofa would have required 18+m to upholster in this exquisite & very expensive fabric. This vintage sofa was beautifully custom made & upholstered in Bennison's "Wheat Flower" linen fabric (printed in England, colourway 'Faded on Beige'), with a coordinating teal piping. The sofa would have required 18+m to upholster in this exquisite & very expensive fabric.
It is of classic English style with low rolled arms, is structurally sound, and boasts lovely plump down filled cushions.
The upholstery fabric is not faded, or significantly marked, however there are some small areas of wear on some edges, particularly to parts of the piping. There was a neat 30cm horizontal tear to the skirt on one side which has been repaired & is now not obvious. There was also a small 3cm mark of white paint near a back edge which has been carefully disguised with paint of the background colour. The last 4 pictures show these blemishes.
