It is the strong reddish brown heartwood with a nicely undulating grain pattern and some pretty grain fabrics visible on the cut faces. Smells wonderful
I purchased this for my granddaughter. She has eczema on her upper arms. It smells great and lathers up very quickly. It does moisturize the skin too. I will update once we see if it takes care of her eczema. Definitely would buy again.
