Discover 'The Early Foucault', a profound exploration of Michel Foucault's early career, now available for you to delve into. This brand new edition, published by John Wiley & Sons in 2021, comprises 288 captivating pages filled with insightful analysis of Foucault's formative years leading up to his groundbreaking work, 'History of Madness'. Foucault's journey through the intellectual landscape of the 20th century is meticulously examined, revealing the influences of key figures such as Louis Althusser, Jean Hyppolite, and Maurice Merleau-Ponty. This scholarly work is vital for anyone wishing to understand the philosophical underpinnings of Foucault's thought, especially his engagements with phenomenology, anthropology, and psychology.

Drawing from extensive archives across France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, and the USA, 'The Early Foucault' is the most detailed study of this influential philosopher's early influences and teaching career. It highlights his integral relationships with contemporaries like Georges Canguilhem and Jacques Lacan and discusses his explorative readings of Nietzsche, Husserl, and Heidegger. By examining Foucault’s clinical work and cultural outreach, this book aptly contextualizes how he developed his ideas, illuminating the path to 'History of Madness'. Description:

It was not until 1961 that Foucault published his first major book, History of Madness. He had already been working as an academic for a decade, teaching in Lille and Paris, writing, organizing cultural programmes and lecturing in Uppsala, Warsaw and Hamburg. Although he published little in this period, Foucault wrote much more, some of which has been preserved and only recently become available to researchers.

Drawing on archives in France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and the USA, this is the most detailed study yet of Foucault™s early career. It recounts his debt to teachers including Louis Althusser, Jean Hyppolite, Maurice Merleau-Ponty and Jean Wahl; his diploma thesis on Hegel; and his early teaching career. It explores his initial encounters with Georges Canguilhem, Jacques Lacan, and Georges DumĂ©zil, and analyses his sustained reading of Friedrich Nietzsche, Edmund Husserl and Martin Heidegger. Also included are detailed discussions of his translations of Ludwig Binswanger, Victor von Weizsäcker, and Immanuel Kant; his clinical work with Georges and Jacqueline Verdeaux; and his cultural work outside of France.

Investigating how Foucault came to write History of Madness, Stuart Elden shows this great thinker™s deep engagement with phenomenology, anthropology and psychology. An outstanding, meticulous work of intellectual history, The Early Foucault sheds new light on the formation of a major twentieth-century figure.

Works good. Too good. If you’re not a pro, you’ll mess it all up. The headliner is up in the beater. But YouTube lied about how easy it is to use this stuff. Very sticky!! Easy to use. Easy to wrinkle the headliner too and just wad it all up. But oh well. It’s a beater. Nuff said.

Just get the Permatex for a better "spray on", both cans I bought required way too much effort in shaking between spraying. I did shake the can well before use.

Best choice! Absolutely necessary for anything above basic stock bass.
Bonded to services well, completely removed panel reverberation in my tacoma. Also really made the doors so much quieter even when closing. Very happy with the result. Used only one set on my 01 tacoma 4 door. Installed inside doors on exterior skin panel, over interior door panel access holes (sealing the door to provide backpressure to door speakers (left drains open)), roof panel, and back wall of cab. Achieved about 70% coverage and am very happy. 2 8in SKAR SVR8 at 1oh on walmart power acustic 2500 (only rated to ~800rms at 2oh, forum showed testing at 1oh worked about 1kw) in 6th order with blow through into cab. With cab gain, im over 130db between ~30 and ~50hz. This was a necessary addition!
