The Rising In Beauty necklace is brass and measures 2.5 inches long and 1.25 inches wide. It hangs from a delicate long link 16” or 18” chain with a brass lobster clasp. Rising wings have a brushed finish and the head is oxidized for added contrast and depth. The fringe tail is oxidized and brushed to fade to natural brass.
This necklace was inspired by the “Phoenix” a mythical golden bird representing resilience and the ability to survive the fire and rise back from the ashes. This is my interpretation of the Phoenix in a modern and stylized sense with its wings extended upwards to show its rise and the fringe of the long tail feathers representing beauty- Rising In Beauty. The transformation (rising) from our experiences can happen with strength, beauty and grace as it does for the Phoenix.
