Hand-knit Bird Nest and Eggs Ornament complete with Decorative BoxMy little nest is an original design. I created this precious heirloom by knitting together 100% wool yarns and natural fibers. It was shrunk down to its firm but tiny shape through a careful felting process. Each nest measures about 2 1 2 inches wide. The eggs are needle felted using hand dyed wool roving. My little nest is an original design. I created this precious heirloom by knitting together 100% wool yarns and natural fibers. It was shrunk down to its firm but tiny shape through a careful felting process. Each nest measures about 2-1/2 inches wide.

The eggs are needle felted using hand-dyed wool roving. A tiny bird's feather is the final touch. The ornament comes with a card telling the legend of the Christmas nest. Finding a nest in your tree will bring your household health, wealth, and happiness.

NOTE: I now make this nest WITHOUT the little twig-like strands coming off the base. If you want your nest with the twigs, just let me know.
Also if you want a certain number of eggs (to match your number of children), don't hesitate to make a request. It's hard to fit more than five in a nest.

The nest comes nestled in its own brown-kraft box with lid, hand stamped with designs from nature, ready for gift giving. This nest ornament is truly one-of-a-kind.
