Overview

According to Lodge, at least part of the “horror” romance was written aboard the Cavendish expedition while attempting to run the Strait of Magellan, making this the first English prose fiction written in “America.” But the tale itself is set in the romance lands of Arcadia and Central Europe. A Margarite is a story of war and peace, pathetic loyalty and brazen betrayal, attempted rape, imperial stratagems and a bloodbath dénouement — decisive and dramatic as the Elizabethans liked their plots of revenge. This was to be Lodge’s au revoir to the writing of commercial fiction — a masterpiece, employing all the prose and poetic styles he had developed throughout his writing career. Readers of Elizabethan fiction will enjoy the challenge of classifying Lodge’s innovative genre and tracing the scope of his reading, evident in his richly referential textures.

Edited with introduction and notes by Donald Beecher and Henry D. Janzen

A nice valet tray, smaller in size, but with thicker walls / better made than others I've tried
Color: Black
First off, I think the sizing is a bit wrong on this listing. I've used a couple other valet trays of this style, but different brands, and this is my favorite of the there, as well as being the best quality of the bunch. For PU Leather, it's feels good and closer to real leather than usual. Also compared previous similarly styled trays, the sidewalls are thicker than what I was expecting, and the snaps feel tight and of a higher quality. These ship flat / snap up styled trays will never be as good as the stitched one that you aren't able to flatted, but for $14 it feels like a good value for the quality, and compared the others I've tried from different companies, it is a little smalled, but sincerely feels better made / more durable.

Nice looking valet tray with a soft feel and useful depth
Color: Brown, Color: Brown
This valet tray turned out to be a perfect addition to my dresser and does a nice job keeping everything neat and tidy. It has a soft feel to it that makes it look a little nicer than a basic catchall tray, and I like the depth since it helps keep items contained instead of sliding out too easily. It is a simple piece, but it makes a difference when you want your everyday items organized in one spot. The included keychain holder is also a nice extra and gives it a little more usefulness right out of the box. The photos show the measurements, which should help with sizing expectations, but overall I think this is a good looking and practical organizer for a dresser, nightstand, or entry table.

Functional but theres size discrepancy
Color: Black, Color: Black
I received this PU leather valet tray and it looks mostly like the photos. The stitching and brass buttons look clean, and setup is easy since you just snap the corners together. The color appears more matte than expected and the surface texture feels fairly flat. I also measured the tray and the dimensions differ from the listing. The product page states 9.4 × 7.8 × 1.9 inches, but the one I received measures about 8 3/8 × 7 × 2 inches. Functionally, it works well for holding small items and seems scratch-resistant as advertised. It is a decent tray, but the size difference and material finish keeps it from being a 5-star product.
