These are well constructed pathway lights. All metal and in particular I like that the solar panel is covered in glass. The solar panel on the cheap pathway lights end up getting dull and fail to work. The light given off is adequate for our needs. But they do not last through the entire evening. I live in Phoenix so there is plenty of sunshine for the solar panels to charge the batteries. After only a few months, several (I purchased 12) of the units stopped working. I changed a few batteries (at over $25 per battery) and the units worked fine again. Disappointing considering the initial cost of the units. I won't buy these again and would not recommend them considering their cost and their short lived batteries.
