Typically, a player will win by reducing their opponent's starting life points to zero, but there are other paths to victory.To play the game, each player will need a deck of at least 60 cards. Players may use pre-constructed decks or customised decks created from their personal card collection.Core Set 2021 is the 20th core set released for MtG, released globally on 3 July 2020. 274 cards make up the set: 111 commons, 80 uncommons, 53 rares, 15 mythic rares, and 15 basic lands. This set includes a combination of reprinted and new cards.This set places a thematic emphasis on creature types: Cats, and Dogs, the later becoming a creature type for the first time in MtG. Mill is introduced as a keyword action. Prowess and Phasing make a return.This expansion can be played in isolation, or combined with cards from other expansions for more varied play. A booster box will enable players to expand their collection quickly. This product includes:36 standard 15-card booster packs.Each booster pack contains 15 randomised cards plus a marketing card/token. Each Core Set 2021 booster pack will typically contain ten common cards, three uncommon cards and a rare card.
