Enjoy those classic lines and appreciate the built-up construction of balsa and ply, in a brand new engineered airframe, featuring accurate interlocking parts and lightweight construction techniques, combined with the latest in aerofoil profiles. Our classic glider kits are designed from the ground up to be a simple build that any aeromodeller can reproduce.
The Takahē is a perfect first glider featuring a built up construction of balsa and ply. We've done all of the hard work for you, with all parts accurately laser cut, including a fully slotted interlocking fuselage construction, and slotted wing trailing edge and tail components. You are guaranteed an easy and quick build of an accurate airframe.
The Takahē can also be built to a variety of specifications from the same kit! Build the main wing to either 100"or 110", and build the fuselage as a pure glider for bungee launch, or build in the included optional nose bulkhead with an electric motor mount.

The wing features the latest AG wing profiles along with airbrake parts, for those days when you have trouble coming down.
The Takahē is a Complete Airframe Kit, so all wood components are included to complete the build.
