Pecan Bowl Blank P-476 4" x 9" x 9" 3.8 lbs. This is an attractive half-log bowl blank of Texas-grown Pecan wood. Its color is a soft tan to peachy light brown color with subtle darker-brown streaks of mineralization. The wood grain has a pleasant and gracefully flowing pattern. It has full and well-attached bark on the back side. There are a moderate number of frass-filled tunnels from wood borers in an interesting pattern. This is a unique crotch blank, where several small branches come off the back side of the blank. It's a bit swollen and suggests there may be burl texture under the surface. At the very least, there should be some pretty feather textures associated with the branch buds. This might be quite the prize bowl once turned -- the outside promises some interesting grain on the inside. This half-log bowl blank should be suitable for a bowl of up to 9" in diameter and 3-4" deep. It is somewhat irregularly shaped, so please study the photos to get a sense of its dimensions. I've measured max widths and thickness, but much of the blank is "slimmer" than those dimensions. With the bark on the backside, you have the option of turning a conventional bowl or a "barky" natural-edge bowl. However, if you want a full bark edge on the "natural" rim, you will need to secure the bark with CA glue before and possibly during turning. This piece is GREEN to partially air-dried, meaning that it still retains a lot of its original moisture from when it was a living tree. Moisture content was 20% when measured in May, 2022. It has been well-sealed and is in the process of slowly drying. It was heat-treated to kill off any hungry critters that may have been burrowing inside. If you need a current moisture content, please message us and we'll check its status for you. This is a classic half-log blank, split through the center of the log. There is a sliver of pith present in the block, with a minor crack that can be turned off or secured with CA glue. I'm taking plenty of photos of this piece, so please scroll down below the first 3 photos to see more. About the Tree This Texas-grown Pecan tree was harvested in Fresno Texas in December, 2021. It was in a residential neighborhood where it had been planted near a home that was built in the 1930s. Over the years, the small Pecan tree grew large, and it threatened the house. The homeowners reluctantly called their tree company to cut down the tree and stack the wood for us to recover. We're always happy to save wood from the firepit or city dump. Their trash is now yours to treasure! |

Refurbished model parts missing, but Eufy/Anker fixed it.

I purchased a refurbished Robovac L50, and was excited to see if it was an improvement from my old 1s. Unfortunately the dust basket was missing a pin and that plastic screen that keeps the filter and foam in. I contacted the vendor, and Eufy responded quickly.
The unit itself has laser guidance and a great app that lets you control it and set times, etc. It’s a definite evolution from the 1s. It is faster, cleans better, and allows you more ways to control it
This is a great value for the money, especially for the refurbished price and the outstanding customer service.

Eufy beats the other guys in everything

We thought our old Eufy died so I ordered this since I always wanted the self-emptying model and the roller hair cutter was a big bonus since we have a chocolate lab that sheds a small bunny's worth of hair every day. Easy to set up, get added to the app, and just works. I will have to order more bags for the cleaning station, but overall very happy with this purchase even though the old Eufy started to work again right after this arrived.

Eufy vacuum

The device works really well. The battery doesn’t last that long which is a bummer but the product does what it states. I hope I don’t have to replace the battery yearly. My floors are clean tho and I have a dog and cat and multiple surfaces, all of which it cleans well even with difficult door thresholds.

Edit:
After a week that I wrote works great, it had the issue that when it starts cleaning it looses power and shuts off after it leave the dock. When it disengages from charging it’s dead basically so unfortunately I returned it. But I will buy it again I was happy with it.
