Basics: zones 3-7, 4-10" x 6-18", part shade to full shade, the fascinating, secretive brownish-red flower is hidden under the leaves in mid-spring. Get down on your knees and check it out! Although every resource says this plant wants consistent moisture, I have found it to be quite adaptable to drier shade. Wild ginger does like a neutral to acidic woodland soil with some richness to it.

Common names: Wild Ginger, Catfoot, Broad-leaved Asarabacca, Woodland Ginger, Sturgeon Potato, Namepin

Family: Aristolochiaceae

Origin/Distribution: eastern North America From Quebec and New Brunswick to Ontario and Minnesota south to Florida and Louisiana, native to Maine

Habitat: shady moist woods and woodland slopes, deciduous understory

More: Wild ginger holds its foliage well through the summer so it's a good companion for spring ephemerals. It has the ability to shade out some invasive like Garlic Mustard (Alliaria petiolata). A potential colony-former with velvety, kidney-shaped leaves. The seeds are distributed by ants and it also spreads by rhizome, Deer resistant. The root has been used medicinally, and the plant contains the anti-tumor compound aristolochic acid. However, some sources say it has potentially carcinogenic properties as well. The roots have also been used as a spice, mostly to mask the muddy flavors of certain fish or make meats palatable/digestible.

I love these Vitamin C sugar-free suckers. The taste is amazing for being sugar-free. None of the sucks came broken and the size of the sucker is great for adults or kids.

🍭Love these Lollipops and they brush your teeth! Toddler approved
Flavor Name: Natural Fruit, Size: 8 Ounce (1 Pack)
These are great as a matter of fact the whole brand is great!! Like most grandparents I have a problem with saying no to sweet treats when my lil love bug wants them I found these on Amazon and they are sugar free vegan and actually clean their teeth! With kids being allergic to more and more I feel safe sending these to school as a treat for his class knowing nobody will be excluded! They taste amazing I’ve tried every flavor of lollipop 🍭 they sell ! I’ll pay a little more if I feel it’s healthy for his teeth and lil growing body ! There is sooo much sugar or corn syrup in candy these days I just think these are amazing! My grandson loves them and he said his friend s at preschool loved them too!!! Just try them you won’t be disappointed! Blue raspberry is my favorite taste just like a jolly rancher without all of the sugar and it’s cleaning their teeth! Win win !!!🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭

A very useful guide
Format: Kindle
I gave the book to my dad since he is interested in these topics. What he liked the most was the large amount of information it contains, such as information on semi-precious stones.
