The Ceropegia sandersonii plant belongs to the Apocynaceae family and has its origin in South Africa, Mozambique, and Eswatini. The unique feature is its white funnel-shaped flowers that also give the parachute flower plant its common names Parachute Plant, Umbrella Plant, and Fountain flower plant. The long trailing stem of the prostrate plant can grow up to 6 feet, at times up to 12 feet. Each limb of the perennial sandersonii Ceropegia bears about 2 to 4 flowers during summer till autumn, the blooming season. The evergreen twining stems are filled with heart-shaped green foliage. This slow-growing umbrella-looking plant requires full sun with partial shading for optimal growth.

Growth Rate
The parachute flower plant has a slow growth rate, especially during winter, the dormant season.

Flowering
From Summer until August, the blooming season, the Ceropegia parachute plant bears funnel-shaped white flowers.

Watering and Feeding
A tip for Ceropegia sandersonii care is to water the plant once a week during spring and summer. Reduce watering to a minimum during winters and move your umbrella plant indoors. Fertilize it with balanced fertilizers once a week during the hot season.

Soil
Parachute plant care can be manageable by using a well-draining soil mix. Include chunky materials in the soil for adequate drainage.

Hardiness
Another umbrella plant care tip is that the succulent cannot tolerate cold temperatures. It is not frost-hardy. The best areas for growth are hardiness zones 10a to 11a.

Light
Umbrella plants require full sun to partial shade for happy growth.

Propagation
Use parachute plant cuttings for Ceropegia sandersonii propagation. Seeds can also be used for parachute plant propagation, but it is time-consuming.

The flowers of the umbrella tree plant have a primary function to trap pollinators like the Desmometopa flies that enter through the ‘flower windows.’ The blooms release the insects after they are fully covered with pollen. Also, the Giant Ceropegia bears the largest flowers! Buy umbrella table planters online from Planet Desert.

Worth it! Solid dermaplaner.
Color: Matte Blue
It feels solid in my hand. The blade doesn't seem to be all too sharp, but it works... so maybe that's for safety purposes? I like it and will stick with it for a while.

Hair removal improvements, ooooh! Ahhhhh!
Color: Matte Gold
We were vexed and a little annoyed by that one chin hair removal after a waxing treatment. Lo and behold! Zomchi invented a razor for treatments in between salon wax strips. Painless and easy to reapply hygenically. 🤗

Starting a StartUp is a must-read for anyone who wants to build something that matters
Format: Paperback
I rarely come across a book that so perfectly balances the technical and the personal in building a startup. Starting a StartUp: How to Build Something People Want does just that. It is less of a textbook and more of a companion for founders who want to build with heart and wisdom. What I loved most: Actionable, no-fluff advice. Instead of lofty theories, the book dives right into what really matters: validating ideas, talking to users, iterating fast, and scaling smart. The checklists, templates, and real-world examples make it easy to move from reading to doing. Psychology + empathy. It does not treat an entrepreneur like a machine. The author emphasizes dealing with uncertainty, failure, and the emotional rollercoaster of starting something new. That human touch elevates it from “startup guide” to “founder guide.” Accessible to novices and veterans alike. Whether you are building your first side project or scaling your third company, there is value here: reminders about customer obsession, principles for experimentation, and stories that resonate at any stage. Readable and engaging. The prose is clear, the chapters are well-paced, and every chapter ends with key takeaways that help cement the learning. Starting a StartUp is a must-read for anyone who wants to build something that matters, not just for profits but for people. I am recommending it to friends, colleagues, and especially the next generation of makers I mentor. Highly, highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
