ABOUT THE ONDEMAND WEBINAR

Women's fiction and book club fiction can be a very profitable genre for authors. These are genres, however that have unique characteristics that differ this writing from other forms of fiction writing out there. Being able to identify the unique characteristics of the genre will aid a writer in not only crafting a strong novel, but marketing it successfully to editors and agents.

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will have gained the knowledge necessary to A) write a women's fiction or book club novel; and B) to know how to make the submission material more appealing to potential editors and agents.

Scott Eagan has been working in romance and women's fiction since opening the Greyhaus Literary Agency in 2003. His authors writing in these genres have been sold to publishers including Harper Collins, Source Books, New American Library and Pocket books, to name a few.

INSTRUCTOR

Scott Eagan opened Greyhaus Literary Agency in 2003 focusing exclusively on the traditional romance and women's fiction market. Since opening the agency, Scott has used his experience teaching literature and writing, as well as his graduate degrees in Literacy and Creative Writing to work with his authors. Scott has sold to publishers such as Harper Collins, Source Books, New American Library, Pocket, Kensington, Harlequin and Mills and Boon. He continues to promote education for authors, through teaching sessions with organizations such as the Historical Novel Society, The Whidbey Island Writer's Conference, The International Women's Fiction Festival, Romance Writers of America, and the Pacific Northwest Writer's Association. Scott's blog was also voted as one of the Best Websites for Writers in 2011 by Writers Digest, where he also works doing freelance critique work. Scott is actively acquiring in both romance and women's fiction.
