Prepare to immerse yourself in the sonic depths of ETERNITY'S PILLARS b/w RAISE THE CHALICE & REVERENTIAL, sunn O)))'s audacious maxi 12" release on Sub Pop. This groundbreaking work showcases the duo of Stephen O'Malley and Greg Anderson, featuring their first studio recordings that amplify the sheer power of raw electric guitars and immersive synthesis-all meticulously crafted for maximum sonic impact.Recorded with precision at Bear Creek Studios and Sea Grass in Los Angeles, the album emerges as a monument to the band's artistic maturity. Each of the three tracks-"Eternity's Pillars," "Raise the Chalice," and "Reverential"-reflects a deep-seated respect for musical traditions while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of heavy metal. The opulent textures of "Eternity's Pillars," inspired by Alice Coltrane's visionary approach to sound, encapsulate a quest for spiritual transcendence, while "Raise the Chalice" reverberates with the rallying spirit of Northwest legend Ron Guardipee.
Beneath these compositions lies a profound metaphysical exploration, with "Reverential" serving as an homage to the artists who forged paths before us, creating a bold dialogue through music and art. The stunning cover photo, shot by Charles Peterson, captures sunn O))) in their natural habitat: the lush forests of the Pacific Northwest, merging their sound with the environment that birthed them. This 12" vinyl is an essential artifact for collectors and heavy music aficionados, blending artistry and reverence in each groove.

Love to sub on these. Price is ok. They did come with film which is easy to remove they do not come individually packaged so if you intend to sub and sell you need to thick about packaging..others come individually packaging so consider that before purchasing. Quality is overall good size is good and they sub great with a beautiful finish as long as you know what setting to sub with color is crisp when dine correctly
