Production Notes
El Tesoro Añejo Tequila is a testament to traditional spirit-making techniques. It all begins with 100% estate-grown blue agave plants, harvested by skilled jimadores to ensure only the most ripened agave hearts are used. The agave is cooked for three days in traditional stone ovens or 'hornos' before being crushed by a two-ton volcanic stone tahona wheel. After fermentation and double distillation, the tequila is aged in American oak barrels for two to three years, providing it with its distinctive color and complex flavor.
