Buy a Ukrainian shawl, and Give a blanket to a Ukrainian for FREE!

GreaterGood has made an initial purchase of 40,000 throw blankets -- for both people and pets -- and baby blankets for immediate distribution for those in need. This donation was made in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine which began in February of 2022. That means with every purchase of a shawl, you're giving a blanket to someone who desperately needs it in war-torn Ukraine. The blankets donated also benefit animals in need, keeping our four-legged loved ones warm during the cold winter months.

As Ukrainians fight to regain control of their country, Russia continues to wage war and destroy infrastructure. This means long-term loss of power and heat, which is where small essentials like wool blankets can make an impact. The blankets being donated as well as the shawl you are purchasing, are made in a factory in Kharkiv, Ukraine, providing jobs and fair wages for its citizens.

Not only are the people of Ukraine getting the sustained support that comes from gainful employment, but they’re also receiving a way to fight the cold in below-freezing winter weather. With many regions still facing power outages that follow frequent bombings, the ability to stay warm this winter will be essential.

“Freezing winter temperatures are putting lives at risk. We cannot delay aid, so I am personally working with a factory in Ukraine to hasten the production of 25,000 high-quality blankets to keep people and pets alive.”
– Tim Kunin CEO and Co-Founder of GreaterGood

So while you wrap yourself in this soft, quality made merino wool blend shawl, you can feel good that your purchase gave the opportunity for someone in Ukraine to stay warm under a beautiful wool blanket that is made to last.

In law there is always another way
Format: Kindle
I finished this book having completed all but one course for my law degree. It is a goldmine of techniques and outlines the modus operandi of how Judges and Lawyers ideally operate.

Needs to be more concise to weed out extraneous crap in your arguments
Format: Paperback
It’s very wordy and could be a lot more concise and be even more effective. “Getting to maybe” is not an exercise in dissertations but finding the right points to create an effective argument. There are better resources out there.

This book made me angry
Format: Paperback
I was excited about this book. Many law-related blogs and forums highly recommended this book. It's a "must read" for law students, they said. I was angry when I read the introduction. I was angrier when I began reading the chapters. What happened to brevity? Law students are already swamped with course readings. Why write a book intended to be read by law students in such a long and voluminous way? Much of the text can be removed. "Get to the point," I found myself telling the author as I read page after page. I hated it. It is the rare law student who will pick up this book for its narrative value. The typical law student will pick this book for its value on navigating through law school exams, not for its story-telling. Yet that student will be left disappointed. I wish the author would have considered writing a "Get to the Point" book, which would serve as a shorter version of 'Getting to Maybe.' Perhaps it is not too late. "Get to the Point" could serve as an alternative or accompanying version, maybe? I ask that the author considers this.
